Bambi Picture Thread

Our weekend at Boston Minuteman Campground in Littleton, Massachusetts visiting Louisa May Alcott., Orchard House where Louisa May wrote
Little Women . Concord, Massachusetts is a town to visit especially if your within a few hundred miles of it. The photo is from the campground that I would highly recommend.

Banff in a Bambi

Hey Wilson,
It looks like quite a bit of snow where you camped during Christmas. How did the Bambi do traveling in the snowy ground? We are leaving for Alaska with our Bambi 16er so knowing how well you did would help us.

The Bambi towed nicely on snowy, icy and slushy roads behind our Ridgeline. Make sure you have snow tires on your tow vehicle. See Airstream's winter PDF for driving tips.

Bring an axe or metal spade to disconnect wooden stabilizer pads that get frozen to the ground.

We used about 10 lbs of propane per day. Start the furnace 2 hours before arriving.

We camped "dry" and used the park's heated washrooms. The Bambi is winterized, i.e. no water inside.

If not plugged in, we had enough battery power for only two nights. The furnace fan runs a lot. I have two batteries.

Have a great trip!

One more thing. Very important. All of the door handles and locks are prone to freezing. Meltwater trickles in and freezes. Carry lock de-icer or methyl hydrate (same thing) in a squirt bottle in the tow vehicle.
