It's a NM STATE Park just north of Deming ...in an unusual rock formation which is detailed in the Visitor Center. Most of the campsites are "dry" camping/boondocking...but they also have a dozen or so with electricity. Google or search NM State Parks for more info.

Not far North for a daily excursion is Gila Cliff Dwellings which we visited, and on the way via the eastern-roads there we stopped at a really interesting Bakery in a small crossroads (Mimbres/San Lorenzo area) which served an excellent fresh buffet breakfast. It looks like a church and is indeed a small religious community...and very sweet.
We returned via Silver City, got our LP tanks filled and shopped at WalMart for needed items. An exciting return from Gila Cliff Dwellings via Hwy 15 thru Pinos Altos (old gold mining town with original fun saloon/café) was a wonderful and challenging drive. We did not attempt it with the Airstream, having left it in City of Rocks for the day...LOL.

Go for it. You'll have a good time!

For us it’s not about campgrounds it’s about campsites. We travel with two 12’ canoes and a Labrador retriever and look for waterfront or close to waterfront .... hook-ups are secondary. The only way to find what we want is to camp and select sites for future visits. If you are hikers or bike or whatever then our choices might not be yours. Reservations a must during summer vacation and often off season weekends for the sites we want. NYSDEC campgrounds usually do not have elect. / NYS campgrounds often do have Elect. again... It's the campsite not the campground. Happy travels!! Photo our 1st visit to Coles Creek SP. waterfront site ... But .... huge granite boulders (breakwater) make getting to water tricky ... campground mapped for future visits ... only a few sites would bring us back ... but then those few are Great !!! sites.

Nice! Which campground? I’ve looked at a small list of campgrounds in the Olympic Peninsula and it appears many had a 20’ RV limit.

We took our 2011 22FB out for our maiden voyage over Labor Day weekend, we are taking it back out this weekend. The first photo is at the campground and the second is a short walk away in "downtown" Camp Sherman Oregon.
