This is Bambi the Second in a dispersed campsite (BLM Price district) in the Buckhorn Draw area of the North San Rafael Swell this October. This area is north of I-70 in Utah, between the Green River and Salina exits. Just a wonderful place to camp. Great scenery but without the crowds typical of the better-known areas.

We bought a new 2015 16 foot Bambi and off we went from NY up to Maine. Then out west to South Dakota than Wyoming and California Redwood country (not to be missed) Jedediah Smith State/National Park is perfect for 16 AS. You can back them into any of the tight spots there and live a amongst the Redwoods. Very magical.
Then we drove down the Cali coast to San Fran area and we changed direction and headed east toward Yosemite and kings canyon. Then out to Utah. Then back home across the country driving through the Rockies of Colorado of course. Our high test evacuation was 13,600 feet! We had some crazy rides.- We drove through Big Horn National forest on the way to Yellowstone. Elevations were around 9,000 I think. It's the trip down that's the nail biter. We drove through the high country of Yosemite into Utah. Oh yea and another nail biter was down the northern Cali coast. There is a part of the hwy between the Redwoods and Bodega Bay that was real fun. All the while, our tow vehicle was a Toyota Rav4. 6 cylinder
Knock on wood, we had no problems the trailer was perfect the tow vehicle did chug up some of those hills. But all is well and we can't wait for trip 2. We were gone almost two months.

HWY 168 & 266 - an amazing desolate road between HWY 395 on the east side of the Sierra Mountains over to HWY 95 on the way to Las Vegas, Hoover Dam and then the Grand Canyon. I loved it and NOBODY was out there, it was excellent.
