awkward stabilising jack position and on

Im very happy with my 2007 16' Bambi, but there are some unhappy, little, design mistakes:

-The position of one of the 4 stabilising jacks, the one near the entrance... you have to lift up the steps, against the door to be able to crank up/down the jack with the other hand...and the 2 jacks at the back get easily stuck because they're to close to the 2 metal security stands under the bumper.

-The narrow space between the kitchen and the dinette is large enough to fill up with dirt, but too narrow and deep to be cleaned without using something specially designed.

- everything you stow in the bathroom cabinet will fall out when you open it after every trip, unless you gaffer or velcro everything inside.

-The bathroom door opening is towards the entrance door.. handy if you want to get in and out from the outside, but not handy from the inside.. which is 90% of the times you will use the bathroom, especially because you use the kitchen sink too in the 16' Bambi...
Maybe it's better to have a lower door that swings open in the other direction.. or a corner door, rounded, opening 2 pieces that also function as a storage compartment, instead of using that dangerous mirror .. this way you have everything handy when using the kitchen sink for washing / shaving / brushing your teeth.

-there are 21 halogen spots inside the Bambi.. why not use the latest LED's? The amount of light is a slightly bit less, but with 21 lights still more then needed.. and with a little color correcting lens, you wont notice the difference.. except that you will never have to change a light-bulb anymore and that your battery life that will improve immensely.. nice when you're out of 110.

-The Airco is way oversize for this unit. I've tried it a few times and even on the lowest position it is really loud and cools the Bambi in 2 minutes.. a smaller, more discreet unit would do the job just as well..but would also be more elegant, lighter and maybe not as loud.
I'm actually thinking of loosing that Airco unit.. and sell it on ebay.. and placing some photovoltaic cells on the roof instead. A small portable airco, like the one used in the Basecamp.. fit's under the bed.

Other improvements I would like to see:
-a modern thermostat combined for both the Airco and heating, that can be programmed, so the Airco or heating switches on just before you come back from a hike.
-A build-in iPod dock would be handy too.. you don't want to fill up your Bambi with Cd's (that will brake during transport).. there is space for it above the radio.

Lots of great points!

I agree on the jack by the steps. We too have to lift up the step to put the jack up or down on our 19ft Bambi.

I two was wondering about the halogens. Should investigate the possiblilities of replacing the bulbs if possible. Maybe that topic has been discussed on the board before, I'll check it out. We generally won't have hookups, so conserving battery will be of prime importance to us. I have yet to do measurements to see how much juice all this stuff draws.

I didn't like the door interferance either, so I bought a 21' trailer.
