Actual length of 22FB

Hi. We just finalized the deal on a new 22FB and will be picking it up next week. I think we got one of the last 2018's in the midwest.

We had constructed a shop up at our camp with a 22' AS of some sort in mind. The specifications on the 22FB state 21'8", and Patrick at Colonial in one of his videos states that is from the hitch ball to the back bumper. I noticed though that the body at the back is rather "bulbous" and appears in photos at least to extend past the bumper.

Does anyone know if the actual full length of the Sport22 is 21' 8" or is it a bit longer?

We are really close with our shop bay for it. Thanks!

it is less than 20' for the body.

In the city we live in, you can only park trailers under 20 feet on our direways.

the city came by and measured ours, and stated it was less than 20 feet, front outside hitch items not included.

thus the body shell is under 20'

Neighbors complaining?

I don't suppose anyone can help me out with the actual measurement, it will probably take a long level on one end and a laser distance meter, or wait for the surprise when I get it up there. It is exactly 22' from the inside of the overhead door to the face of the back wall. I could modify an inset to that back wall and bring the trailer in hitch first as there are guest quarters on the other side of the wall.

Just measured mine. Under 22 feet from ball to non existent bumper.

Does the trailer body at the back, above the “bumper”, extend past it though? Or is it just an illusion I am seeing in all the videos online?

Great question. I think it’s an illusion. I have a 6’ level I could go out and put it against the rear if you want?

That would be fantastic! From the protective mid belt-line edge to the ground to see what kind of gap there is from the bumper edge to the level.

Overall do you love the trailer?

Looks like my 27 in my shop. About 6-8 inches of clearance on either end. But if it fits, who is complaining!
