About pull trigger to preowned 2013 16ft bambi.

The seller purchased it new a year ago, after negotiation, seller wants $32k. It will cost me another several hundred at dealer for a inspection and transfer the remaining warranty. Nada shows the preowned price between $27k-$33k. Could I counter back to stay on 30k?

Any help is much appreciated

You can offer the seller anything you think will buy the rig. Only the seller knows what their bottom line is. And only you know what you will pay.

NADA doesn't mean much for trailers in general, Airstream in particular.

Search for comparables on the Classified tab here for starters. Condition is everything. You didn't ask, but a lot of people seem to trade up from the cute little ones to bigger ones. It's a good weekender though, easy to store, easy to tow. Easy to park in a church or shopping center lot too.

Transport to the west coast seems to run prices a little higher there, too.

In the end, it's worth what it's worth to YOU. If you don't want to pay $30K, then don't. This isn't the last 16 ever made, there will be others.

The price seems too high. You can get a new one for a few thousand more. For a used I would not go over $30K, but if it is brand new and you are comfortable, it is easier than new. I was a "winter buyer" and this is uncomfortably close to what I paid new.

"You didn't ask but I'll tell you" if your goal is camping you can do it for weeks at a time in the unit. If you want to take your whole house with you get a "cute" bigger one.

For what it's worth, we visited the dealer in our area this weekend. We loved the 16 Bambi. So we did sit down and get a quote.

$39,500 was the number. That was the sales price if purchased with financing and 10% down payment. Not sure if that would be different if you paid cash or not. We have no trade, and were not discussing any adds/upgrades. Unit did not appear to have any features beyond factory standard.

As we aren't ready to buy this season, we did not bother to press them on the number.

So that would be the new price (add sales tax) for a 2014 Bambi 16.

Thanks everyone spending time to give me helpful advise!

Best price dealer give me is $36.2k plus several hundred document/plate fees for a new 2014 model(no sales tax in Oregon). Just got a call from dealer said they are getting a 2012 display trailer from their partner(I don't remember the name of that party who had it for 2 years). It has never been titled, dealer is firmly asking for 31.5k(plus several hundred document and plate cost), the salesman said the trailer is not ready yet and will take them another 5 days to get it to transfer to their lot if I pay $2k deposit immediately. The deposit is refundable if I don't buy. This dealer is only 6 miles from my house.

The salesman who have been helping us is a nice person, he repeated it is a very rare deal and will sell fast. I did pay the refundable deposit. He said since it was never been titled, there is a 2 year warranty like purchased new. I checked nada trailer value, the msrp for the new 2012 model is about $38k, used price from $22k-$27k.

Before dealer called me, I was about to buy a 2013 16ft sports from a private seller who claims only used 400 miles for $31k, the price includes a $500 equalizer and the 2 installed aluminum shield at front. It will cost a couple of hundred dollar inspection fee and additional $250 at the dealer to transfer the remaining one year warranty to me. The nada used value for this 2013 is $27k-$33k. The seller is 7 hours one way driving from me.

It is very hard for me to make decision.

Ps what's the difference between 2012,2013 and 2014?

Thanks a lot!
