3rd year with CalMark cover

This is the 3rd year we used the cover

never scratches.
no mold
bone dry underneath
easy access inside during winter as there is a full access door by the AS door

its loose at the bottom as i have not done my water winterizing yet, still 10C here.

once done straps across the roof and full built in ropes through grommets on the bottom makes it very tight . thus no movement from snow, rain or wind

Thanks for posting. I would love to cover our Airstream during the winter months. There is so much negativity on the forums about covering, I figured it was a huge NO-NO and our AS would get scratched and moldy from being covered. .

Great to have someone with 3 good years experience.

Is your sunbrella?

To manage humidity, do you put moisture wicking material inside?

Was your Sport 22 difficult to measure for the cover, or does Calmark have a specific cover for it?

I am coming up on 2 years with my Calmark cover. Very pleased. No damage to cover or AS exterior. Breathable Sunbrella fabric. Calmark sends a Airstream specific measurement sheet for ordering. Factory direct, made to order.

They made is custom for YOU and not anyone else.
each customer has to measure their own AS
they also ask you if you want a door to get into . i send yes

they will let you know an approx cost

actual cost depend on how much material is needed for YOUR model
i DO NOT work for them or get kickback- i'm just a happy user

Earlier this Fall I asked about covering our new AS and received many replies. Most saying not to but 2, one from waninae39 and one from StuartsDad saying they had no issues using a CalMark custom fitted cover. I requested info from CalMark and they promptly replied with an estimate ($1,350 for my TB 27) and a fabric sample. The fabric they use is Sunbrella which is also what my boat covers are made from and I've had excellent results with these. So with positive support from the two guys along with an excellent PM on how to install the cover from StuartsDad, I was all set to order the cover. Shortly before I did, one of the indoor storage places I applied to came back saying they had an open space. So I kicked the cover decision can down the road for a year and will decide next year what to do. But, I do appreciate all the help with responses and suggestions. I expect we will be buying a cover next year.

Any chance you have those crazy 23 measurements from 2017? I'm looking to get one for my 2018 Bambi Sport 22fb and you'd save me a ton of time.
