22FB shower leak

Figured I'd pass this along to all the 22FB folks out there since this community has helped me so much.

Pulled our camper out of storage and some of the toilet paper sitting in the cupboard on the floor had some mold on the bottom. Thought it was weird and started looking over that area. Nothing obvious popped up so I let the whole shower area dry out after a wipe down. I then started hosing spots down starting at the drain and working up/out. Found this and I'm thinking 22FB owners will want to check this asap. This spot right here in the corner should have been caulked. When I hose this spot down, it started leaking minutes later and since it's been caulked the leak has stopped! A nickel worth of caulk and much future heartache potentially saved!!

Oh, we noticed that same spot this weekend, and fixed it , too. We keep a small tube of caulking with out traveling tools for just these things

Checked and we had a drip as well.

Will let it dry out completely this week and caulk it up next weekend. Thanks again for posting this!

Our 2008 22' also kept our floor-mat damp until I examined that lower shower-door channel closely. It was leaking down between the laminate and onto the floor. I pulled up the entire channel, scraped and cleaned the area, and re-caulked the entire length with GE-Silicone II. Problem solved. (Hope the squeaks while walking on the floor in front of the toilet doesn't mean the floor is permanently damaged.)
