22' Sport: TV problem
OK, I got all of the high tech stuff to work. Which is to say, I got the TV turned on, I figured out how to get the DVD player to work, and even got the DVD back when we were done. (I set a low bar for myself, OK?)
But ... that telescoping bar that holds up the TV? I couldn't get the TV away from the wall. It felt like there was some sort of latch somewhere, but I couldn't find it. I did think about brute force, but for once thought against it. But I'm sure that there's some sort of handy trick that only I don't know.
So if I give the secret sign ["A$" isn't it?] can someone tell me the secret?

There should be a little strap thingy in back of the TV in the center right below the arms. Pull down on it (takes a good tug on mine) while rotating out from the wall. If you squint behind it from the side you can see there is a little round ended bar that is spring loaded to lock it back.
It also takes a good push/wiggle/push/cuss to get it back on. After you have done it once or twice it gets easier to get it out. In is always a pain.
I am assuming it is like mine on the 16.

I have a 2013 22. There is a small strap. I went to a fabric store and bought a longer strap put a grommet in it and had the as mechanic switch them out. I have learned that pull down on the strap when you push it against the wall. It won't stick. It is touchy.
Is the tv suppose to come through the speakers?????

There is a selection on the radio (ours is a 2013 international 30) that puts the tv audio through the radio speakers ... I have solved the puzzle a few times thru dumb luck and don't have a clue about how to tell you to do it ... But ... It can be done.

Sometimes we just forget what we once knew...
We bought a "new" to us, 2008 Safari Sport and got it home last weekend. The LED, backlit, flat-screen Magnavox television would turn on...but not receive anything. The screen only displayed static.
My buddy (television/broadcasting degree from a famous, orange university) and I spent the better part of an afternoon trying everything we could, and checking out the antenna booster, tracing out the cabling, etc etc, and then it finally "hit" me.... The television in the 2008 Airstream was mfr'd in 2006... it is an ANALOG television!
I bought a new 19" HDTV 12 volt unit (chineese-branded) at WM today for $98 that can operate either 120 or 12 volt and which has the correct wall-mounting for the fold-out, and a Sony Blu-ray/DVD player which operates also on 120/12 volts for another $69.
Not bad for a couple who doesn't watch much television at home and have yet to take the AS on a trip!

Our tv on our 2014 22fb Sport is not factory wired to play through the overhead speakers. I run a cable from the Tv headphone output to the line-in input of the radio. Makes a huge difference in sound.

FWIW: I still haven't been able to get the damn TV to move away from the stowed position no matter how hard I tug that strap. We don't watch TV much, so I guess it doesn't matter. But it's annoying as hell.

Try wiggling the TV on the edge nearest the outside wall while pulling the strap. May take two people. When free, lube the silver pin.

I had a similar issue and found the pivot bolts were so tight I couldn't move the TV.

I have a 2008 20' FB Safari with a TV wall mount on the road side corner of the bed. My problem is I don't know how to get it to lock in the closed position. It just wants to swing freely. Any suggestions? I would like to mount the TV but will not unless I can lock the mount in the closed position when traveling.

The dealer enlarged the hole that locks it in place for me. Locks & unlocks much easier now. Then loosened the pivot arm bolts so it would swing in and out easier.

Do you not have a Velcro strap which secures it against the wall?
Two metal loops hold the Velcro on all the instllations I've seen.

As the strap on mine is a pain you know where to pull I would suggest (if you have not done it already) going to an Airstream dealer and having them fix it, or if you are stubborn like me at least looking at one on another trailer to get the feel of how it works. It is not really a "no-brainer". It is a PITA. And I don't mean the bread. Especially with a TV on it...
