2019 22 ft with solar
We have just purchased a 2109 22 Sport with solar. We will be picking it up in 10 days. Does someone know if the standard is 2 AGM batteries. I have an email into the salesman, but curious if someone knows tonight

Sports come with a single battery.

Unless something has changed, 22FB Sports don't come with AGM. My 2018 came with flooded. I swapped mine out and put an Optima in. It failed 6 months later but was replaced under warranty.
Put the new one in. Early this year, the main PCB on the AS charger died. Replaced it under warranty myself. But I put the flooded battery back in and have had no problems.
AGM does need a large dose of charge voltage such as the car's 14.2vdc output. However the AS charger only puts out 13.2-13.5vdc. This may be the problem.
I run a Renogy portable 100W solar when we boondock. Works well on one battery.
I have checked and tried to install two battery boxes on the frame of my 22. They won't fit. Not sure how the dealer will get two on board your new rig. Please keep us posted.

Update of 2 batteries
Mike is correct that the standard configuration for 22fb with solar is one battery. During the sales process I specifically asked the salesperson about 2 batteries. He informed me that 2 batteries with solar was the standard and what it would come with 2.
He made an error.
When I discussed the error with the dealership, they decided to honor the error of the salesperson and have chosen to install two AGM batteries. I have not seen the install as I am not scheduled for pick up until 6/13.
I will post pics once I take delivery. The more important thing to me is the way this dealership treated me and the fact they honored their error.

If anything like mine they will install the batteries on the right side under the bed frame.

Those hidden batteries are always a problem. I like to see them on the frame rails behind the LP. 22FBs (until now) don't allow dual batteries on the frame rails. There is a reason but I digress.

Dealer put 2 12 volts on tongue, tight but works. OEM are lead acid Interstates. When those fail will put 2 6 volts in one box (found online) I measured and they will fit in the box and it on tongue

IMHO
its best to replace them with LioN
the move them inside.
the lion are better performers and lower TCO
plus inside, the weight is moved closer to the wheels and off the tongue

I'm not sure why they only provide a 1000 watt inverter. Nothing (hair dryer, microwave, coffee percolator) can run on the IKw inverter. It seems AS is giving you a weak solution. 3Kw is minimum.

What is user experience like when they run a 3KW inverter from a single flooded lead acid battery? 40Ah won’t go very far at 250 amps...

...well of course you can't run a 3kw invertor on a single AGM or flooded battery. Need a few to run one. But the question remains - why have a 1kw?

This is what I ordered so two 6 volts can go on battery mount on my 22. Measured rails and it fits and is designed for GC batteries

Buying Full River AGMs and use generator in case my solar 100 watt suitcase can’t be in sun. Upgrading OEM converter to PD 4655 as much better charger overall and especially for AGM and generator (Randy at Best Converter)

Update to dealer supplied 2 AGM batteries
The dealer we purchased the AS from has many locations. As stated earlier the location we purchased from guaranteed 2 batteries. When we went to pick up the trailer (approx 800 miles from home), the location had never heard of such a thing, and were unable to install 2 12V batteries on our 22 Sport.
To make a long story short, they agreed to "compensate" me by having me figure out how to install these 2 AGM batteries. They gave me the second Lifeline battery, and I left not necessarily happy. (We planned a 12 day trip in the new camper.)
Our experience during the 12 days was that we were never in true need of the second battery. We hooked up 3-4 nights total, drove quite a bit, and the solar panel added some level of regeneration.
Now, I need to decide what to do next.
1) Do nothing, keep or sell the second AGM battery and let the dealership off the hook
2) Have a box fabricated to store both batteries and send the bill to the dealership
3) Sell both batteries and install two 6 volts, and send the dealership the bill for the difference.
As you can imagine everyone has an opinion, looking for a more experienced advice.

It doesn't have to be "rocket science" so don't make your "issue" a bigger problem that it could be.
Here's what I did.
I own a 2016 22FB Sport similar to yours. Due to the fact the trailer is narrower than the larger AS's the frame members on the front of the trailer come together at a point where the battery rack sits. As constructed there's only room for one battery. Adding an additional battery on this part of the trailer does nothing to the structual integrity of the trailer....we're only talking about 50-60 lbs.
If you have the ability to do a little simple construction on your own ...you've got it made. Or, perhaps a friend or even a "handy man" could do it for you.
Simply "remove" the existing battery.
Construct a simple "platform out of a material of your choice...I chose 'marine grade plywood 3/4" thick" that will "rest on the frame rails.
Use 2 pieces of 2x4's set vertically inside the existing battery tray. Fasten the "platform that you construct to these 2x4's and the existing frame rails.
Two batteries now sit side by side on this platform behind your propane box. You will need to "either" by a 2nd battery box (10-15 bucks) or put both batteries in a single side by side (end to end) box (70-90 bucks). Connect your batteries and your done! Here's a few photos of what it looks like. By the way when the 12v batteries died I replaced them with 6v golf cart batteries.

I agree
I agree with everything you said, but your last sentence of switching to 6V is exactly why I posed the question. I own 2 new 12V AGM batteries and if the dealer will make me whole, doesn't it make more sense to sell the AGM batteries, purchase 2 6V batteries and battery case? And if there is an outlay of cash, to have the dealer compensate me?

6v x 2-1=?
IMHO...use what you have...2 Lifeline AGM's.🤔 (ours lasted 12yrs, and now power the emergency sump pump in the basement).🤓
We switched to BattleBorn Lithium last Season, along with 360w of Zamp portable solar couldn't be more pleased.👍⚡️
The weight saving alone is a big plus!
AGM 62x2=124
Lithium 29x2=58
Consider...if one 6v poop's you end up with 6v.🥴

In all due respect...your wasting time. As it has been suggested..."use what you have". The Interstate Batteries you own are now considered used. You'd be lucky to get $100 bucks for the pair.....unless the Dealer buys them back. But they would have to sell them as used.
The Interstate Batteries are good batteries...mine lasted 3 years.
My advice....install what you have and "hit the road" and enjoy your new trailer.
Happy Trails!
Pat

We too switched to BattleBorn Lithium last Season, along with 300W of solar( 3 panels.)
We too couldn't be more pleased
we moved the batteries inside under the bed
now we have a lower tongue weight and the TV seems pull the AS22Fb smoother
The BB weigh less than the old Lead acid and the are moved closes to the As wheels for better balance
as ROBERT CROSS states, if i lose one BB, i still have the same voltage but 1/2 the current
thus we can still operate. IMHO, the 6V path does not make sense

Update
OK, I followed most people's advice and stayed with what I had, 2 AGM batteries.
With the dealership helping to defray some of the expense, I went with purchasing a battery box from RVLockbox.com (No endorsement or representation on my part), but I found the box to be fairly light, and have the ability to lock it. I then had a local welder weld a couple of angle irons across the A frame to support it. All fairly easy.
Thanks all for your input
