2016 Sport 16 Overhead Clearance in Driveway

We are considering a 16' Sport and would prefer to park it near our carport. The clearance to the carport is exactly 9' 3".

Any suggestions on lowering about an inch to clear?

The only other option would be to build a side gate beside the carport.

Let the air out of the tires.

I was thinking that! Also, was not sure if the AC cover easily came off?

If it is s pre-fab metal carport you could put 4x4 under the bottom rail.. Or as much height as you need.

Rase the roof or lower the floor.

Get the AS under the roof. Remember they all leak over time. Protect it from the sun, rain & elements.

Speaking of protection Bay Area Airstreams highly recommends Trident Sealant to protect similar to that used on planes.

I'm sure like anything else proper cleaning an maintenance is a must!

It is a hassel, but if letting the air out doesn't provide proper clearance, you can take the wheels/tires off and replace them with just the rims. That is what some people with T@Bs do to get them to fit into a normal garage.
