Hi Everyone,
Love my airstream, but so afraid of making mistakes.
Wondering if anyone knows of what the airstream instruction book is referring to with the following items.

1. Covers for the refrig vents outside. The book says to be sure to use your covers for winter storage and while washing the trailer.
2. Book talks about a tool to help open the windows when stuck. Says it is made of Teflon.
3. Also, tools to remove radio....???

I have a 2015 19' FC. When washing the exterior I usually take a plastic garbage bag and use it to cover the upper and lower access doors to the refrigerator. These are the vented doors. No reason to get much water into these areas...

Any plastic tool that is somewhat stiff and thin can be used to gently work between the glass of the window and the rubber seal (while standing outside). You are using it to break the seal that can occur between the two given summer heat and a dried out rubber seal. I use a tool I got for taking apart electronic gadgets from but you can get one that is used on car interiors as well. Keeping the rubber seal lubricated with Aerospace Protectant 303 (or whatever you use on your car door seals). Don't get in a hurry and be gentle - you can rip the rubber or crack the window.

These window poppers can be installed and will allow you to open a stuck window without having to go outside -

In the bag with the radio's instructions should be two thin metal pieces about 1/2" x 6" and about 3/16' thick. You slip them between the radio and the tray to press in two tabs to allow the radio to be pulled out of the tray (explained in the radio manual or go online to get a copy).

When I search this excellent forum I usually get better results by using google directly with a search such as "airforums stuck windows" or "stuck windows" (don't use parens).

My tool to loosen stuck windows looks like a credit card.
Probably because it is a credit card. No reason to go buy something special, when something already in your wallet will work.
Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy, and taste good with ketchup.

While I don't deliberately spray water directly into the refer ventilation-doors, I've washed the AS each time I return home and use a pressure-washer to knock off the grime, ...then a soft long-handled soft brush dipped in Dawn detergent solution, then rinse with the pressure washer again. I don't direct water into the ventilated doors, but the louvres drain properly and no water has entered that area at all. Just be aware of the matter.
The main reason to cover the doors during storage is to prevent insect infestation (think "mud dauber/wasps) access. I've had no problem however and I do have daubers to mess with my other equipment (airplane, boat, 4-wheelers, go karts, etc.) I've had no evidence of their being attracted at all to the AS.
