Can I use a drill to crank the stabilizers up and down? What kind of attachment do I need? Thanks.

Yes, you can. You will need a 3/4" socket on a drive lug for your cordless drill.

Yes, you can use a drill with a 3/4" socket, I believe it is. However, the danger in doing this is the ability to put too much weight on the stabilizers. They are designed to just stabilize, and not lift the trailer.

Your trailer will take either the 3/4" or T slot adapter for a drill. If the end of the stabilizer looks like the end of a bolt, you would need the 3/4". If it is round, with a pair of metal ears on it, you would need the T slot adapter.

Or...using a 3/4" socket and a hacksaw...cut a slot into the end of the socket to fit over the ears of the T-slot... and you will have a tool which will universally fit both types. Use good judgement on how forcefully you extend the jacks.

I purchased a second "T" slot crank and cut off the handle which gave me a 12" bit to put into my cordless drill.

I also purchased white reflective tape, cut 1/4" squares and put them on the end of the stabilizer rods to make them easy to find in the dark with minimal light.

I go low-tech. Got a $7 gardening foam knee pad. Keeps the rocks off my knees.
I just crank it down and then crank it up when we leave. If you need an assist, the crank rod can help you resume a standing position.

Keens or other footwear with toe protection are good too.

Adjust the clutch on your drill and the stabilizer will only stabilize and not lift the trailer.

When I was picking up my 22 FB from Can Am in the fall I just asked and they gave me an old one they had lying around.
Cut the handle off, ground the edges flat on 6 sides and gave it a good coat of black tremclad.

I purchased a knee pad and used it this weekend. Much easier on the back. I haven't got access to a grinder or vise to flatten the sides of my new t slot bit but I'm looking. Great ideas. Thanks.
