2017 Sport 22 FB
We have just purchased the 22FB and look forward to making some changes. However, FYI, AS has implemented some of the suggestions made in this thread:
1. Bed is hinged and with gas struts to make access to the storage area more convenient.
2. The mini blinds have been replaced in the bedroom with black out curtains on tracks - similar to those on the wrap-around windows. This will be good for keeping light out, but a disadvantage will be blocking any air from the open windows. Not sure yet how to overcome this problem.
I think the 1000 watt inverter might be one of the first things I add.

LED Dimmer
Has anyone replaced the on/off switch for the overhead LED lights with a dimmer that matches the factory switches?

2015 22' Sport - We Made Some Changes
Our 2015 model year 22 FB came with incandescent lights that we changed them out to LED's before our first camping weekend. We found 2 bulb options and used the easier on the eyes soft white (yellowish color) in the bedroom and bathroom and the brighter white LED in the main cabin, closet and above the kitchen counter.

2015 22' Sport - We Made Some Changes
We removed the mini blinds in the bedroom of our 22 FB and installed the roll up shades from Ikea. That mod has been posted in our specific forum. With the roller shades installed and raised, the bed to be lifted up past the window without catching the old blind hold downs.

Great idea. Question how far do you have to drill down and what type of plugs did you use on the holes?

I like your cushions. Did they come that way or did you recover them? HOw much material if so. My 16' 2014 Bambi is too plain.

I've been watching this post for some time now and to my knowledge it still hasn't been answered. So for "redundancy sake" I'll ask it again...."has anyone replaced the factory "on/off" switch which is just inside the door on the 22FB with a "factory "on/off dimmer"?

Is the question related to installing the shades? If yes, I only tapped into the wall to create the hole ... barely drilled into the wall ... maybe 1/8 " into the wall. I would recommend plugging the holes from the mini blinds using rivets.

We never replaced any of the switches with dimmers on our 22' Sport ... but I wanted to when we had our 22' Sport. Our new Flying Cloud has the dimmers throughout and we like them very much. I would encourage you to replace the switches with dimmers ... you won't regret it.

Which posting? One of us may be not answering because we're unsure whose posting you're referring to.

Well, this appears to be either a "Yes" or "No" question.
If the answer is "No"... then how would any individual be able to authoritatively answer for "anyone" ? (There may very well be "someone" who had done this...and they simply may not be reading this thread.)
If the answer is "Yes"... then it's implied that a follow-up is appropriate, and that person will likely explain their actions.
Since a "Yes" has not yet appeared... then a "No" might be the only thing the rest of us could offer you...and there'd be little more to the thread extant.
Is there a "factory" dinner switch available? If so, then I guess you could follow that route and post your own answer. 12v dimmers are certainly available in the automotive market but beware.... many of them create a lot of heat (and therefore be unlikely to save any energy)... and can be a fire-hazard installed behind a wall.

2017 Sport 22 FB - Medicine Cabinet Added
The small make-up mirror that is stock is OK, but we wanted to add more bathroom storage. The IKEA Gunnern is a locking medicine cabinet that installs easily. You will need to reuse the screws that were used to hang the previous mirror as the Gunnern does not come with screws.
I re-used an existing screw hole from the old mirror location and the bottom right mounting hole in the cabinet to locate where to place the cabinet. I then drilled small pilot holes and used the two remaining screws in the top two slots. I then removed the cabinet and applied silicone caulking to the wall to help hold the cabinet in place while travelling (probably not necessary, but I didn't want to just rely on the screws.)
The locking feature is used for keeping the door of the cabinet firmly closed while travelling, however the cabinet would be useful to lock away valuables or meds while camped too.
In the install photo you will see a hand towel ring that I purchased at Lowes. I used a short stainless steel screw and re-used one of the screw holes from the stock mirror for the top screw and drilled a pilot hole and another stainless steel screw in the bottom hole.

Oh, I like that a lot! Good way to sneak a bit of storage in & have a slightly larger mirror.
How heavy is it?

About 4 kg, but the old mirror weighs about 1.5 kg for a net of 2.5 kg.

They come in white, gray and black. We chose the gray so the attached photos reflect the SKU for gray. The 22 foot Sport requires 5 shades if you replace each of the blinds. So the attached photos reflect the SKUs for the 5 sizes.
Hope this helps.

I looked at these items and noticed they are 36" wide. How did you get them to the correct width....is that 27"? Can they be ordered to fit right out of the box?

I don't think they are available in custom widths. We purchased the sizes in stock that most closely measured the widths of the original blinds.

Sorry folks but I am still confused on "sizing" for the Ikea blinds. Since these are not custom fit and come with a width much larger than the side windows in the 22FB bedroom have you all "cut them" to fit or are you installing them with the large over lap. i've been watching videos on YouTube to learn how to reduce their width. Can you all help me out?
Thanks
Pat

Pat, if you click on one of the blinds in the link, you'll find an option for "more options". They come in narrower widths: I found 23" and 27", amongst others. I don't know the actual width of my current mini blinds, but one of those two would work.
