2006 SAFARI 25' SS-Converting bedroom???
Our Safari has the bedroom (small queen) in the rear next to the angled door leading into shower/stool and the wall of the shower. The only way to get out of bed is to crawl over your spouse if you are on the outside next to wall. Has anyone converted the queen to two small twins or bunk beds? Appears the two storage areas on the outside would allow this since they are both under the bed; one under the head of bed and the other against the wall.

Airstream now offers a Flying Cloud 30' "Bunk" model that has the same rear bath and bed as yours, but they added a bunk over the bed. Use the idea or order the bunk components from your Airstream dealer. Probably not cheap knowing how these things go, but we added a 30' Recliner model front end recliners, table, and console to ours and don't regret it for a minute.
Here's a link to photos of a 30' bunk:

We got the idea and inspiration from eheffa by using the search

Sorry, I hit reply before was finished. We used the search function to find eheffa's initial post and studied his pictures, and then my husband did our conversion on our 2006. 25' FB.

Sorry - not sure why it's not working, but here it is again:
http://www.airforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107732
If it doesn't work, the title of the thread is "queen to twin conversion", so maybe you can find it via a search.

The o.p.'s Airstream is not a FB model, but has the bed to one side of the rear and the bath on the other side. The twin bed conversion cannot work here because there is no width for it.
