19 Flying Cloud bathroom door

Just saw photos at Colonial of a 19 Flying Cloud with the bi-fold door from the Tommy Bahama. It wasn't listed as an option. Is it now standard? https://www.colonialairstream.com/pr...bambi-3/#11676

I was just at my local dealer this past week and they told me that the bifold door was going to be standard in the 19's as of '19.

I think your dealer's mechanic could tell you.

Anybody know if the new bi-fold bathroom door can be installed in an older model trailer? Toilet space is one of the only problems in our 2009 19C. Any feedback on bi-fold operation and functionality?

Yes, the bifold door is now standard in the FC 19’. We have mixed feelings about it; but, since we never experienced the old door, we have no comparison. I am quite sure that the bifold could be retrofit to an older 19’. The opening appears to be the same width, but the door jams are different, and the header woul need to be removed. I have little feel for what that would entail.

It appears to me that an older trailer could be modified to accept the new style door. We took a serious look at doing this on our 2018 but after reviewing all the comments on this forum from folks who have the new style we opted to leave things as is. The reviews were mixed but there were enough complaints about the functionality of the new style that the overall benefit of changing just wasn't compelling.
