CCD galley cabinet modification

We have a 2005 28' CCD and the galley cabinet door has a sharp edge that rubs the lounge/sofa when the door is opened and closed. It it starting to leave a wear mark on that upholstery.

I am thinking of taking a router to that edge with a rounding over bit and eliminating that edge.

Has anyone had this problem / used this as a solution?

I have no way to check on a CCD's cabinet construction, but I do know that our 2002 19' Bambi had sharp edges (sharp enough to cut) everywhere on cabinets, cabinet doors, and cabinet frames. In all cases it was the "edge banding" that was the cause. I spent a number of days smoothing all of the sharp edges of the edge banding so that they were pleasant to the touch. I did not use a router because of how easy it is to lose control if the piece being worked on is not fastened thoroughly to my workbench. What I did use is a mill-cut file, something I have used many times for formica work. Each pass with the file takes off only a small amount of material, so mistakes are much less likely.

We got tired of scraping our arms on the edges of the cabinet/table tops and cabinet edges, too...we added aluminum edging to a lot of places...it looks great and you'd think it had always been there...
