Like you, we would like a lounge area and have plans to convert the bed at the hitch end to a U-shaped seating area. Plans are not final, but we currently envision a table next to the wardrobe and an L-couch wrapping around the front to the nightstand. The couch would be roomy enough for one person to sleep without modification. We have found the current bed arrangement to be slightly uncomfortable for two, and are considering using the dinette for a second sleeping space. We'll see...
The suicide door was definitely a bad design feature for this trailer. We either leave the front curbside window or the door open, but not both.

I don't have any measurements so it is difficult to plan future renos - if any other than the little corner settee in pace of the desk...
But fleeting thoughts I have had already.....
Some sort of system that lets the rear dinette seat flip back (fold down) to join up with the back settee to make a longer bed so that two people could sleep sort of feet to feet allowing both to get out without having to crawl over. Another option is remove the side dinette and make that length of the trailer like the new 31' "toy hauler side couch dinette - I think the trailer is still wide enough and you could employ the slide out style couches they have used for the past couple of years Instead a "couch" per see.
I do like your idea of the up front seating - but prefer the side looking out as opposed to the front usually at the road where you are parked.
Except at our water front lot we could pull her around so that the front is looking down the lake and be a nice view to wake up in the morning with those big front windows.
My immediate extra bed solution is to look at some sort of hammock set up - single bunk system - anyone have ideas with the 22' CCD layout?
Do you think the centre roof ribs would be strong enough to support a hammock down the middle? guess the factory would know that - wonder if they have ever done it.
LL Bean sells a nice breathable double nylon hammock (rather than mesh which would be perfect for me - when I take the parents for little overnight trips.
I am just really excited that I have found a trailer - from a "Silver Sister" no less. Details of course all pending - not saying too much don't want to put any jinx on anything.....
Although Lady Bug is giving me the very evil eye right now - but I am sure she will come around...

Yes also agree the suicide door not the greatest but there are other pluses to the trailer that I like that compensate more than the inconvenience.
I guess they have not come up with the perfect trailer yet - but they are working on it.
But this one is pretty darn close for us - without having to move up to the next level of Tow Vehicle - which right now is a big determining factor for the next few years.
