France on the horizon

Perry,
I could not get set up for the Aug. trip to France. Is there something going the last two weeks of Sept or first two weeks of Oct. (I know, I know! Octoberfest...that may be on the trip too.) I am planning a trip to revisit places I lived as a kid and am looking for a camper type trip. Wish I could get one of my Caravels over there. Any sugestions?
Thanks.

Perry -- Could you please give us an update on the rally? Hope the midi gave you fabulous weather!

We in the states would absolutely love to have an opportunity to consider the lighter Airstream Europe trailers! With fuel prices as they are I suspect this may happen after your part of the world has a successful rollout of these new units.

Yes, and to go with that lightweight Euro TT this review shows the top rated tow vehicles available to date.

HI
Yes it's a pity you missed our Airstream meeting in Aug it was big fun ,as for sept we are here at the camping you can rent an Airstream here to stay in .there is always people comeing in with there Airstreams and we have 11 Airstreams here all the time .as for your Caravel you could always ship it over tour with it and then leave it here till you next holiday or put it up for sale?there is always people looking for the little one's .just an idea!.
bye for now
perry
PS photos coming of the europeen Airstream coming soon .

Melody Ranch,

shipping your Caravel over here shouldn´t cost more than $2000 - $2500, probably less... We paid $2000 for our 29' Ambassador from Charleston S.C. to Bremerhaven, Germany.
I don´t think that you have to pay an import duty as long as you don´t plan to sell the Caravel overhere, but I could call the German/European Customs office if you want and get the exact informations for you.
Hope to see you on European Roads, you are always welcome to visit us (even without Airstream)...

Perry

If you send me the pics and a short text of the Airstream Meeting I could put it on our Blog as an update to the Meeting Announcment...
