We had a great time at the rally! It was nice to put faces with a lot of the forum names- and of course to see a bunch of our WDCU friends! I screwed up and forgot all my camera batteries charging on the countertop at home- so if anyone has some photos of our '39 in front of the museum we would love to get copies! Our e-mail is ahershbergers@mac.com Thanks for a great weekend all and we look forward to doing it again next year. Maybe even bring the '39 every year (if it becomes an annual event). BTW the concert was pretty amazing (of course we were dry and about 15 rows from the stage)!

It was very nice meeting you both!! Congrats on your 39 and I look forward to watching your progress.

I forgot my camera too! I am soo upset. I bought a Fugi disposable. I hope the photos come out well.

Boy and I got caught in the rain while on a bike ride. We got soaked to the bone!!

Talking Wow! Fabulous event!!!

Terrific! Great time, met lots of interesting people, saw SO many amazing vintage trailers, learned tons from the presenters and ramdom conversations, beautiful spot, all so well organized, just wonderful!

Thank you to all the folks who worked so hard and made it all seem so easy. Thank you also to everyone for bringing your beauties for us to see! We are so psyched and hopeful to see this become an annual event!

Missed the pies somehow, kept getting lost enroute, though did manage to roam around and share mine before leaving.

The little grey and white found fluffy kitty is doing great, she thinks our AS is home No flyers in the neighborhood, guess she is ours. Bringing her to the vet soon to get all checked out, still working on a name. Maybe I should put it to a vote?

Anyone get pics of the amazing Sparton parked behind my rig? Forgot my camera

Oh! Next year a fabulous vintage rig needs to be parked right at the entrance where my new setup was, and I should be hidden in the back somewhere (though there was interest in viewing a new one, and lots of "wow, they still make these?!" comments

Thanks again, everyone, absolutely super!!!

The Vintage Jam was a fun Event and we managed to get some good photos to share.
Many highlights such as:

The location. The area of Saratoga Springs and the State Park were beautiful.

The Hosts. You know who they are! For a first time event, everything went very well because the sponsors worked very hard to make everyone happy. Extra credit to the Museum and park staff especially Allan Edstom who would appear out of nowhere with new helpful information to guide us to things to do.
The Attendees. What would happen if no one came? There were many new and familair face that made for a very interesting weekend. There where people from Michigan, Canada, Florida, and some that call the road their home.
The Trailers and Motorhomes. From and little German camper pod to a gigantic Spartan and everything in between.

Local Interest....There were many hundreds of local and tourist visitors the made a point of coming to see the Vintage and new trailers. I was really surprized by the numbers and enthusiasm of those that toured the grounds on a very hot day. The Trailer and rv craze is still alive and well even with the current fuel situation.

and yes, there was PIE. and even Bagels. Thanks hamiler!

If any one knows where my 4' bright yellow Stabila level ended up please let me know. I think I used it last helping a Shasta get level and I did not miss it till I was unpacking.

'39 Clipper

Here's a photo of Andy Hershberger showing his and April's '39 Airstream Clipper to Fred Coldwell. And a photo of the cool windows. Notice that they open.

Alan Edstrom from the Saratoga Automobile Museum took these photos.

Hey gang- had a blast!! Got back around 3am Tuesday morning without a hiccup- thanks Brian . I put what pics I took on photobucket- wish I had my camera with me the whole time and more batteries! Thanks to Steve, Colin, Rich and everyone who made it happen and everyone who came. So many beautiful trailers. The pies were fantastic! Thanks to everyone who fed me along the way (having Ted and Terry's Globetrotter cafe next door was a real treat!). Anyway, here's my photobucket link- not great photos, but several of the Clipper for April and lots of others. The park was such an awesome venue- really wish I could have stayed longer. Best- see you again soon!

ommuel - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The flatbed pics are from the beginning of the week- so grateful to have been able to make it up to the Jam in spite of being stranded on the OBX with bad bearings!

P.S.- found out from Beej that the groundhog I had with me was one of three that hadn't been named yet- so, with apologies, he will now be known as Wally. Will make him a little berret when I get a chance Glad the kitten is doing well- a name vote sounds good!

Wally the groundhog

I think Stella would be OK with that.
