According to Ken J, the academy is taking a break this year.

We couldn't attend this year anyway, but it is too bad. Although I can certainly understand that Ken & Co. need a break; between the academy and the Balloon Fiesta, it is pretty intense!

We had also heard the rumor that it was "not happening". No mention of it on VTS, nor Enchanted. 3 months is not a lot of time to plan such a big event. Hopefully it will be back on in 2016 as we thoroughly enjoyed it.
