Keep the reports and pictures coming Jason! Glad to hear you have such a big turnout. How's the weather there?

Looks inviting. The grass is so green and thick. No snow here. We are finally trailing along into spring. How many kids have you got out there, enough to have some playmates for your kiddos to play with? And dogs, got dogs? Thought I saw one but that was a flamingo.

Yup. Parker's got a new rally friend. We've got a few from the teen crowd, too.

We left the rally a little after noon today (other commitments, etc...we've been there since Wednesday afternoon so we got a good bit of it in.) First of all, Wooster is a very nice little town of 26,000 residents with the 2nd best library in Ohio and the fifth best in the USA. Who would have known??? And of course it is an easy drive to all the Amish area of Ohio (Holmes County). Thirty minutes down the road is Ohio's ONLY 10/10/10 rated campground by Trailer Life. Evergreen just outside Mt. Eaton - we try to viist them at least once per summer. There were trailers at the rally from all parts of Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Minnesota, Michigan and I hope I got most - well represented!! Good times were being had by all!!! Food was exceptional and there was plenty of it. The weather wasn't doing the best job of being cooperative - we did have some showers from time to time but the temps hovered in the mid 50s and 60s so compared with the past weeks, it wasn't bad at all.
Jason did a marvelous job of putting this thing together. We even had folks simply stop by - Airstreamers from down the road that were passing through Wooster and saw all the aluminum reflecting the bright sky. They stopped in to say Hi to all. We had a grand time sharing stories and upcoming plans with others.
Kudos, Jason and Andrea..........

Glad to hear you made it home OK.

Can't forget the co-hosts, Hank & Kathy. They not be as loud as me, but they worked just as hard and it wouldn't have been as good without them.

The fire's nice tonight. Wish you were still here.

Many thanks to Kathy, Hank, Andrea & Jason for hosting the 2011 Ohio TAC Rally in Wooster, OH. We arrived on Wed. and had a really nice time. We toured historic Wooster and spent an afternoon in the heart of the Amish country side. Wonderful people, great campfires and good food all combined to give us a exceptional experience.

Hi neighbors,

Sorry you had such bad luck. I guess this is what people mean about a "shake down cruise". We missed you and hope to see you at future rallies.

Thanks to Kathy, Hank, Andrea & Jason for hosting the 2011 Ohio TAC Rally in Wooster, Ohio. We had a great time! We took some pictures of our caravan back to Lorain County and will get them posted soon! We had quite a few people stop what they were doing in their yards to watch the four units pass and most waved, pointed, or took pictures. lol! Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon!

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came to the rally, no matter how short of time. We even had a few guests show up just because they saw or heard about Airstreams being on site. We had some really cool units: A slide-out, a rear-door Argosy, a couple 34 footers, a couple polished. Each decade of Airstream from the 60's through 2010's was represented. We had great food, great volunteers; a campfire every night; lots of chatting over meals; a great trailer park gift exchange. I think there were about 5 units that this was their first rally ever.

On a personal note; we got home around 1:30. I immediately took to some task around home but went back to the Airstream after dinner. I hope it was pretty un-noticed by many over the weekend, but I was having some annoying 12V issues all weekend. I tore out the fuse panel and the IOTA converter and found some gremlins. I stopped working on the Airstream at 8pm tonight, but the whole 12V storage and charging system is getting a re-work before heading for KY next weekend.

I thank everyone for making the first TAC rally of 2011 a success. We're already talking about OH-2012, but no specifics yet.

Just a quick post to let everyone know we made it back to Minnesota around 5 pm last night. The return trip went as planned via Indiana Dunes State Park on Saturday night. We were a few miles over 800 on our return from Wooster. Here's a couple of rally pictures from my camera. Thanks everyone for a great time!
