Looking for a great way to shake down and take in some cool sites?

Join us for the 5th Annual TAC OH Amish Country Rally at a new location!!! Kandels' Campground, 5552 State Route 515, Millersburg Ohio!
(Coordinates: N-40.55891 W- 81.712301)

Just 1.5miles north of Walnut Creek Ohio in the middle of it all!

Schedule for this rally is very relaxed.
Upon arrival:
You will:
-Be greeted by your hosts for directions to sites
-Receive a "goody bag" with items & information about the area and the updated schedule as well as provided a hard copy of the driving route to explore Amish country at your own pace.

Welcome to the TAC Ohio Amish Rally

Here is your weekend schedule of planned events:
(No events are required, just join us whenever you wish and feel free to come and go)

Thursday:
Early arrivals are welcome to join us, no planned activities.

Friday:
7-9am: Donuts and coffee in the office building.
Anytime: We will not be doing an organized "trailer crawl" due to weather being questionable. However, in your goody bag, you will find a door hanger/sign to signal if you are interested in showing your rig or not. Just make sure you have the appropriate side facing out! J
6pm: Hot dogs, a side dish or two, and other goodies await your arrival for supper and will be available in the heated office building. (Please bring your own beverages and table service.)
We will have a campfire roaring in the evening, weather permitting. If no campfire, meet us in the office for some games, crafting, and chit chat!

Saturday:
7-9am: Donuts & Coffee in the office building.

6pm: Bring a dish to share and join us in the office building for a potluck dinner, raffle, and trailer park gift exchange.
- If you have any spare parts or anything to donate for the raffle it would be appreciated. (This is instead of a rally fee. We ask that you just buy a few tickets for the raffle. Any $ above what is needed to cover will be awarded at the end of the raffle by choosing 1 or 2 tickets from all tickets entered.)
- If you wish to participate in the gift exchange please bring a wrapped item
7:30pm: Raffle will be conducted
8:30pm: Trailer park gift exchange
We will have a campfire roaring in the evening, weather permitting. If no campfire, meet us in the office for some games, crafting, and chit chat!

Sunday:
7-9am:Coffee & Cereal Bar in the office building.
- Please bring a cereal to share. Milk will be provided. Bring your own table service.
1pm: Pack up and hit the road.

Cost is only $25/night for electric only.

There will be no water hookups, however there will be a way to fill your tank if needed. We may be parked in pull through full hookup sites, however we are not to connect to the sewer (unless it is to dump before leaving.) If however, you want full hookup capability, there is an extra charge and will be asked to pay $32/night.

They have wonderful facilities with hot showers & flush toilets in a new heated building!

Thank you Jason (WineStream) for the huge assist with the attractions and wine & beer tour documents for the swag bag! We currently have 13 trailers signed up to join us!!!

I think we've talked one of our SoB friends into joining us. They bought their motorhome at the end of last camping season and have been camping like crazy over the winter! We mentioned this really to them. Hopefully they will join us.

On a personal note, I'm excited to be in the heart of Amish country this year. Andrea and I plan to hit some of the wineries on the list that we have never visited. It might mean that I don't smoke a pork roast for the potluck, though.

We contacted the visitors center for maps and stuff for the swag bags that everyone gets when they arrive. The 2015 booklets will be in at the beginning of March so we will have updated info this year!!

One month until this rally... We need to get some chatter going here.

New location this year, more in the heart of Amish country than in past years. We're at a real campground this year which is all for us at this time of year. We have a building to use, just like in past years. I'm planning on smoking some meat on site, just like past years. And, surprising to me every year, there's the trailer park gift exchange which seems to draw people to the rally just for this event alone.

Everyone must be super busy... this thread really hasn't taken off like in previous years!! Come on people! Time to climb out from under the snow and mud!! Lets get this thread rocking so we can gather more people for our fun rally!!!

Been busy here this weekend shaking down the Airstream. We've got a week's vacation to go on even before this rally. We camped in the front yard last night. Only issue found was a water pump that doesn't shut-off correctly. I've ordered a replacement for that.

The plan is to leave the Airstream in the front yard until we leave for vacation. Good thing, because the fridge in the house decided to not work correctly so a lot of the food moved to the Airstream fridge just outside the front door of the house!

Looking forward to this first rally of the year for us and meeting new folks as well as a new location.

Snow? Mud? Some of us are still in the sunny south (92f here today) for another two weeks or so.

Looking forward to the rally and the 'cool' Ohio Spring - presuming cool doesn't include snow.

Glad you can make it again!

Fingers crossed for no more snow, although I did re-winterize my Airstream after front-yard camping this weekend. A snowpile-melting 65F predicted for today, but still freezing overnight through this week. Nothing a running furnace in an Airstream wouldn't handle, though.
