Thumbs up Weekend In New England

We pulled out around noon and got home safely to PA around 4 PM after a stop at Cabela's to dump and rinse the holding tanks.

We were sad to leave. We had such a great weekend, even if it was a tad on the chilly side. And WOW...all the food, I am going to have to exercise twice as hard now to undo the damage I did this weekend . I’ve never seen that much meat and wood smoke in one place. This was the first brisket we have ever had and man was it good. Marcus, you would be proud of what Don, Frank, and Paul were able to accomplish.

I would like to thank our hosts Don and Amanda for providing the venue, much of the food, and especially a place to get in out of the chilly weather. Frank for brining the rub, brisket, and bacon. Paul for bringing the smoker and some fine pork ribs. Debra for her home made bread. Skip for bringing some Guinness. And everybody else for a WONDERFUL time and fellowship.

Now I'm headed for the basement and the tread mill so I can gorge myself at the upcoming Crawfish Feast...I mean Fest.

Well......... seems we've had the shell off since the original '77 construction! Not too many bolts were found attached to the chassis.

Is solar in your future? As you know Leon and I could not be happier about the solar system we installed on "The Tube". With the interior out of VT it's the perfect time to at least get the wiring in place.

PS: Your key incident made me howl with laughter.
Key incident: She won't respond to this day. Silent. Lips sealed.

Solar: Batteries were already there. Wiring is now in place.

I thought it was terrific! Just about all the meat was devoured. Not that much leftover, thank goodness. However, we had a LOT of leftover pies, cookies, cupcakes, bread, etc. Most of which came into work today:now gone.

Seeing how he was up past midnight having fun Friday and Saturday night, he did amazingly well. I don't know how many rounds he made it through, but he did go two rounds deeper than the kid who won it last year.

The last few years the NEU has held a rally called the Chilly Man. Last year we had the privilege of attending, and both Donal and I joined some of the other totally insane rally attendees and did the polar bear thing in 41 degree water temperature. (Where'd Marcus just go? ) The word Donal went out on at the bee was "chilly". Actually no, it wasn't. It was Chile, the country. Turns out the kid only has rallying with his friends on the brain. Just like his father.

Thank you ALL for playing in our sandbox here in CT. We had a fantastic time and look forward to seeing you all again real soon.

I had such a good time here last weekend!! I mentioned it to Rob Baker via Facebook last night and he decided to have Tim call me during the VAP to talk about it. Episode 113 if you wish to listen. I did. The rest of the show was pretty good. Me, not so much. Had fun though!!

We had a great time too! Skip, I think you sounded pretty good on the VAP.

Tom, who didn't know his TAC number (CT-2) was coveted...
