Pot 'n Luck...

i brought the pot luck menu issue up. after all, seems like eating AND drinking is fun w/ friends.

anyway...

i got shot down.

that's ok, i'm not sensitive.

i was told that it takes the "luck" outa the "pot".

that's when my personality contacted a certain mr. door gunner.

i requested from mr. gunner, a pot of his (now) famous Gopher Gumbo. he's complied with my request, in a most gracious manner. kinda like kip, sending me a snack to arizona, say by noon, on saturday.

so fine.

so in "Beating a Dead Horse to Death Kamp", i'm bringing Gunner Gopher Gumbo. i renamed it. i've also just invented "Performance Pot Lucking", actually i've been working on it for a year now. but i'm ready to take it (the performance part) on the road.

so the "luck" is still in the "pot".

must be a arizona thing.

The Highly Prestigious 500 Club

As Kevin and I were discussing, there is a good possibility that (if we can keep up the good work) that we can both...possibly....with a little luck...join the Secret 500 Society by the time Casini rolls around and therefore be entitled to participate in all the formal rituals. If I can speak for the honorable Mr. Bo10 as well as myself...we are very excited.

I may even be able to do a trial run with the 500 bigwigs (*secret margi-ball handshake*) at the not-really-a-rally Malibu Rally. It could happen soon.

-Bams

P.S. Ever notice that getting to 500 is a good thing but 5000 is kind of embarrassing...like... Hey! Get your head out of the computer.

Not so Kevbo. My Summer beans are individually BBQ'd to remove that trait.

Food & Rallies or Food & Conventions... BED.

you know, i'm musing again...

is it just me?

or does anyone else feel the way i do...

about eating a meal in an aluminum dweeling...

i find it strangely attractive.

i actually like it.

Bauxite Eating Disorder, or more commonly reffered to as "BED".

i've had BED since 1979.

i just figured it out.

Ex3287,

The poor guy is off-line somewhere counting his toes and fingers in anticipation of his downward spiral after he hits the Big 500.

Careful, Time. We'll all be there one day...maybe not wearing a hat, but we'll be there just the same. I am expecting no downward spiral...just wonderful, amazing things...lots of secret rituals, strange costumes, and exciting formal gatherings. I can only hope that, one day, I too can become an exalted Rivet Master. (I will be bringing my robe and cape to the 'Bu in anticipation).

Thank you. I've tried to welcome him 3 times put it won't take my reply.

I grew up in Eagle Rock so to me he's a next door nieghbor. Hope he joins us in Malibu.

If he has been reading the forum for 3 years he may know us too well and want to stay a safe distance away.

That thought had crossed my mind. But the invite has been extended anyway.

OKay. We are all friends here. We are beginning to know each other well. (perhaps too well in some cases) So let's all just come out of the closet and tell it like it is.

It's a rally. A RALLY!

Okay.

You need to figure out how to at least make an appearance at both. Talk to those in charge of transport. Come early, stay late. Do what you can. You are a professional.
