What's on your full schedule of events today!!!..I saw on the news there's a great Malibu Getty art museum to tour..have you been there?
Codybear,
There are two great Getty Museums, and yes the original, which was just recently redone is in Malibu with a beautiful coastal view. Stunning displays of ancient art in a one of a kind setting, the Getty Villa.
The other is the Getty Center which has more contemporary art and also has lectures and special events. It is in the west part of LA high on a hill with a sweeping view of LA from the mountains to the ocean.
The Villa is by reservation only, which can be done on-line. The Center does not require a reservation and has a large parking area.
We have been to both many times and consider it a LA favorite.
Yes, we visited the Getty in L.A. when it first opened..wonderful, spent all day there!!!..they were talking about building the Malibu Villa then..glad you've seen both..nothin' like Art for Art's Sake and Beauty!!!
Great view of the trailers and ocean..you're all between the sobs??
Yeah....we are surrounded by the sobs...but we manage.
BTW, Happy Chinese New Year! It must be a feast at your place.
It's kind of anti-festive here...a bit mellow for Chines NY. A little different way to celebrate the holiday.
Hey notralliers. Ed & I made it home to BiCal in a little over 3 hours. (Yes Otters, I do drive a bit faster than 56) We miss you already. Well kinda.
And on our third pass by the Neptune's Net...there was a giant realrallyrally of bikers there. Tons of people and motorcycles everywhere. No where to park for miles. We ended up pulling over on PCH and making a sandwich in the 'stream. Notrealllyarestaurantrestaurant...
Hey Time. Apparently we postponed the notsosecretsecretceremony for the Rivet Masters until Casini. (It seems that something was found in the large and quite extensive rule book for Malibu RV Park regarding no feathered chickens being allowed on the premises during holiday weekends. I'm not exactly sure...ask Milo. Has he been bailed out yet?) Anyway, it looks like you may soon become part of the esteemed group. Only a few more thoughtful posts and you are there with bells on (and feathers).
We didn't try Neptune's for lunch or dinner, which was a potluck at the TimeMachines' tonight. The baked and fried peeps were delicious! It finally got cold and windy, ready for possible rain at exit time tomorrow. Ah, life in the slow lane.
Don't forget about the left-side tire!
