Good to hear from you.
Roy.
It is great to hear from you. I hope you are feeling better. I was a bit worried when I heard of your need to cancel the Falluminum trip. Looking forward to being a neighbor to that new beauty. Can't wait.

So far the attendance looks like we will be having a variety of vintage trailers at Stone Mountain. Let's fill up the loop with Airstreams and vintage trailers, before they give our sites to the huge motorhomes. There is nothing worse than being next to a Motorhome while they are moving their slide outs into place! I know it is early, but let's get some more reservations made.

Hey ... yes starting to feel human again, took a bit out of me but things seem much better now. I guess a 99% blockage is serious ;-) Can't wait to show off our Spartanette at Stone Mountain, she is quite a beauty.

I am excited to see your "new" trailer too. Glad to hear you are recovering nicely. Sounds like that was a close call.
It will be fun and interesting to have a variety of different types of trailers to view at the "Tour Of Trailers" in April 2013.

Airstream Forums - Tac-stone mt. Park rally
Don't forget to RSVP so that we have a better idea of how many campers to expect.
It is not too early to claim a site, even though the Rally isn't until April 2013.

Stone Mountain Park Rally, April 2013
Our new grand baby is due around rally time we will be in Denver doing what we can to help out so Lynnetta of Someday 59 fame has graciously volunteered to be the wagon master or rally coordinator for this rally in April. I will still be posting to this thread to help support the cause because this is one of the better rallies around to attend. I hope the rally continues into the future. Between Kristi and Lynnetta the rally will be in good hands.

I am toying with the idea of promoting a November winter rally at Stone Mt. Park when the park is all lit up for Christmas and the snow tubing is going on in 2013. Stone Mt. makes it own snow and the tubing is very popular. We could hand out prizes for the best lit up or decorated trailer. Does anyone think this might fly? It would be beyond Fallunimum and prior to Can Opener.

John, I have no idea where I will be by next November, but it sounds like a great plan.

Even though the rally is next April it is a smart idea to get your reservation in early to ensure a good spot. My favorite sites are on the purple loop but all the sites are very good.

Yes, I remember the fun we had at Roosevelt State Park TAC Rally. It will be great to see you again too. Bring your delicious fruit salad to one of the gatherings.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.
Now is the time to get your Stone Mountain Reservations made and RSVP.
It is already starting to look like a reunion of camping friends and aquaintances, but of course newbies are more than welcome to join in on the fun too. So spread the word, because not only is it a fantastic campground but a vacation destination for out of state tourists as well. The Park is beautiful, educational, plus has so many things to see and do that you will not be lacking for entertainment.

Stone Mountain Park Rally, April 18-21, 2013
Kristi is right, this park offers not only first class facilities in the RV park, but so many things to do you will have to sit down and prioritize what you are going to do. I live in Atlanta and find that we visit this park each year because it is such a good value. If you have children, then this rally is a must do for 2013. For those just getting into the Airstream lifestyle, this is about as good as it gets for your first rally experience. Be part of the Airstream Stone Mountain Park Community!

GA, Stone Mt. Park Rally, April 18-21
The 2013 Stone Mountain Park Rally will be the fourth TAC rally held in Georgia. The other three consisted of the F.D. Roosevelt State Park Rally, the marvelous Cloudland Canyon State Park Rally, and the 2011 Stone Mt. Park Rally last April. Hopefully to continue this, other TAC members will step forward and promote rallies in the future. In the meantime the 2013 Stone Mt. Park Rally is open for reservations.

The rumors are true!
I will take over as rally coordinator for the 2013 TAC rally.
As of today, Stone Mountain says we have 10 trailers signed up for the rally. Sounds like a great start!
We're looking forward to a great rally again this year...err... in 2013!

The couple at the far left, in the group TAC photo, was in an awful car accident two weeks ago. They had pulled their car behind their Airstream motorhome to Florida on vacation. Coming out of the RV Park, they were broadsided by a teenage driver without his lights on. They have both been hospitalized since then, but thankfully returned home yesterday. There is much more recovery and therapy ahead, but thankfully the outcome looks good. Just thought our TAC family would want to know. Matt and Cassie have a reservation at Stone Mountain Park for the April 2013 Rally.

I really hope their recovery progresses so well that they can still join everyone at Stone Mountain. Sorry to hear about this.

We send our thougths and prayers
Kristi
Please pass along our thoughts and prayers. As Silverexpress has said, we will hope their recovery is quick and that all things are back on track for them to share in some much needed Rest and Relaxation at the Stone Mountain Rally.
Thanks to Lynnetta for her willingness to step up as host. "You Rock"! As does the rest of your wonderful family. We are looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

Didn't mean to Hijack the April 2013 Stone Mountain TAC Rally thread, but thought campers from the April 2012 Rally would remember my nephew and his wife as being the newbies in the only Airstream Motor-home in attendance. Their condition is improving daily. Thanks for thoughts and prayers.
As we proceed forward with preparations for the 2013 Rally, Lynetta knows what is involved and how to get it done. Thanks for stepping into the Wagonmaster position. You know I will be glad to help out too.
