Smoky Mtn Fall Vintage Rally 2009

Hey group....Time to make a reservation at Misty River Campground for another Vintage Trailer rally for the Fall. We just wrapped up a full weekend of vintage camping, parts flea market, trailer open house, and potluck BBQ, so it's time to plan another one.

The event will be held at Misty River Campground, 5050 Old Walland Hwy, Walland, TN 37886 on the weekend of September 11-12, 2009. This is the weekend immediately after Labor Day. Hope to see many of you there again. This rally is for vintage trailers, motorhomes, teardrops, and those who love them. No matter what you camp in, you will be welcomed. In nearby Pigeon Forge, there will also be a classic car show. We'll have the best of both worlds.

I spoke with the campground this morning, and the campsite fee will be $32.00 per night as it was for the spring rally. This includes a full hook-up site, cable tv, level parking, pool, hot-tub, great private bath facilities, and awesome vintage trailers to tour. Hope to see many more of you there in the fall.

Misty River Cabins & RV Resort had sooooo much fun at the Vintage Camper Rally in the Smokies,that we are going to host the rally twice a year, in the Spring & Fall.

The next date is Sept. 11 & 12th, 2009 for the Vintage Fall Camper Rally in the Smokies 2009. It will be the same weekend as the Shadows of the Past Car Show in Pigeon Forge.

We had lots of great looking vintage campers of all sizes. Anything from an 8 foot tear drop to a 35’ bus. Even two Airstreams motor homes! You can not believe what a good time that was had by all. What made this event so impressive was all the great campers who took time out of there lives to attend. You will never meet a more fun loving and friendly group of campers than the ones who attend this event.

If you will be joining us for the first time, you are in for a wonderful treat!
Misty River Cabins & RV Resort is the Tennessee Campground of the Year 2008-2009.

I know this rally is a long way out, but we just booked our site as well. We're planning to bring a bunch of our old trailer parts for the flea market on Saturday.

This will be a cool place to be in the early fall. Make sure to plan your vacation early. Prime campsites will fill up near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

I wish my 55 Flying Cloud was done so I could come out. Maybe next year! I know this is a beautiful part of the country.

I really like the sound of this Rally
We are working on a 72 Overlander and it has not moved in 2 years, but we're getting close.
Maybe we can make this our first AS rally

Keep me posted on the progress.

Check it out....I added this to the rallies page. Now people can sign up and we can all look forward to meeting new faces and renewing old friendships in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Thank you for adding the Vintage Fall Camper Rally in the Smokies 2009 to the list. I don't know why, but I never thought to add it to the list.
