Leon and I plan to head out by mid afternoon on Friday. I'm currently out of the New England area on business but am cutting my trip short so that we can attend. There is *no way* I'd miss this event!

We are bringing our folding bikes (cheap ones from CampingWorld). Hope our bums survive the Block Island bike trip.
Walmart sells "jelly" seats that slip right over your existing bike seat... they are about $15 and well worth the money! Just a little FYI

Hey Rodney.......this may happen again next year if everyone enjoys the area. This is a favorite spot for RI folks.. so if we do this again, we'll definitely let you know. This is such a popular location, that during the prime months, the mimimum you can book is 5 nights.

We'll post pics.

Sun...... Sun........ Sun

Now........ we MUST do a sun dance! It has to shine! Rain never seems to dampen the spirits of the AS group.

Alternate plan.....we can all go to the NEWPORT MANSIONS which is approximately 15 minutes away. They really bring you back in time.

We'll make the best of it like we always do.

See you all rain or shine!

What a FANTASTIC weekend with many new & old friends!

It poured all Friday, but Saturday was GREAT! The breakfast went smoothly, and Potluck was even better. Fishermen's State Park was "VOTED IN" for another get together next September. So......... whoever wants to attend next year, make your reservation by January 14th to get into Area 1. I'll remind everyone when the time comes. There is room for 40 rigs in Area 1.

Some folks adventured to the beach, others took a bike ride or took a stroll on the Cliff Walk at the Newport Mansions. Some just hung at the campground and relaxed or scouted out the local area.

Thanks KIMILI & Funchucky1 for coming up from NYC to join the outting. Hope you folks come up, and join us all again!

That's again everyone for a wonderful weekend!

Thanks, Gail and Titu!
We all had a great time!
And the trip wasn't bad, really.
We left the campground about noon, and we were home by 3:15! And we ate lunch en route!
Anyway, the campground is certainly nice enough for a repeat. We'll try to get our reservation in nice and early next time, so we can all be in the same zone. I wish I had taken more pictures, though...the only ones I have are from the beach.
Did I mention that the potluck was one of the best we've ever been a part of? Lots of diversity....and it was all good!
We need to catch up with all of you again soon. We didn't even get to meet everyone!
-Chuck
