Event Update
Weekend Schedule
- Welcome barbeque dinner on Friday evening. Hamburger, hot dog, side dishes and ice tea/lemonade. Also, hot chowder (a secret RI recipe by a member couple) with Italian bread or oyster crackers.
- Kitty fee $7 per adult (not rig) Children free
- Saturday breakfast: bagels with coffee & orange juice
- Saturday lunch on your own
- Grill your own Saturday night (we will have grills to share). Bring a side dish to share. Not mandatory at all. Please meet in the tent area
- Please bring your own serving plates and silverware, including soup bowls
- We will have the unit tent up and as many picnic tables as possible. We are requesting to bring your own chair as there will not be enough picnic tables to seat every one under the tent.
- Campfire each night
Things to do: - A number of beautiful beaches nearby
- Newport mansions and surrounding area
- Kayaking behind the camp ground- we are bringing our kayak
- Fishing off the pier in nearby Point Judith
- Tennis & basketball courts at the campground and swing sets for the kids. Kids, bring your bicycles to ride around the campground.
Volunteers needed: - Friday night grilling and general serving. We could use some grills as we are going to grill in batches as the crowd rolls in
- Setting up the tent and the picnic tables
- Help with breakfast and dinner Saturday
- Taking down the tent on Sunday and general cleanup
- Firewood is needed
Look forward to seeing everybody ( 104 folks). And........we have 22 kids attending.
Thanks,
Titu, Gail & Tiana

Wow -- 22 kids! Terrific! I think that's fairly close to the number of kids who attended R1R last year.
Thanks for all your work putting this together, Gail & Titu! Can't wait for this one!

Oh.........and for all you harmonica players, Gus will be there with his harmonica. He would love to have you all join him. Many "Alumination Celebration" R1R-2006 attendees recieved harmonicas. So don't forget to bring them!

No worries! Titu and Gail are fantastic hosts who welcome late or even last minute rally attendees.
On a personal note. Leon and I were parked next to Titu, Gail and Tiana during the Region 1 Rally back in 2004 (our first WBCCI rally ever) and we loved them right away! This is one of the great things about our club, we get to meet and become good friends with folks we may never have met if we didn't share an obsession with Airstreams! Way cool. BTW Titu & Gail own a new camper, Leon and I own an older one (remodeled) but so what! We own and love Airstreams and the adventures they offer us. Life is good.

Could ALL folks just receiving site confirmation, please post your site# and the number in party attending, so I can get an accurate head count for the food.
Thanks so much,
Gail
