Thread bumpers? I never hired any of those.

We have had a few reservations come through in the last few days according to Ace. I was just getting used to the idea of a small intimate group and the numbers are going up. I guess I should just look forward to the party.

Steve, are you going to use that fondant stuff to wrap the Birthday cake you are baking?

Come to think of it, were you guys in a Caravel last year at the Bash? I'm not good at memorizing what model of Airstream someone has.

Jason,

The only time we camped in a Caravel was our first time out... at the WDCU Cherry Blossom rally a few years back. There were six of us and our boys planned on sleeping in a tent. Frank's daughter Ava had joined our two girls for the night in our trailer. About 11pm a strong wind picked up, so I went out to take down the awning and Kelly brought the boys in from the tent. That is how we spent the rest of the night... the three girls on the rear double bed, Kelly and I on the front gaucho and the two boys on the floor in the isles. We all slept like logs and during that week we had the best time of our lives.

Sharing experiences like that is why we got involved in hosting the Bash. We want everyone that attends to have the time of their lives. Every year our family can't wait to attend.

This morning I woke up to the smell of Spring coming into my open bedroom window. We had one of those huge thunderstorms last night and the cold winter feeling was replaced by a more gentle Spring feeling. It was a magical sensation. Then before I could slip out of bed I began thinking about the Bash and how many rocket kits I needed to order. I am sure a few adults will want to get in on the fun too.

Stefan and Amery will want to launch one each for sure... but I better not mention it to them because that is all they will talk about for a week.

They have not yet realized that the Bash will be here soon... but I hope that any folks who think it sounds fun do.... because NOW is the time to get signed up.

We still have a couple of piles of snow on our lawn!
The crocus are up and forsythia bushes are beginning to bud but I still haven't smelled Spring yet....

Please put the boy and I down for a couple of your highest flying rockets Mr. Rocket Man.

I got an inquiry via PM about being able to run an AC if medically needed. We have no opposition to running your AC all night, we just do not have the required amps to give. There are full hook ups just up the hill from our area. If anyone wants them, let us know and we can reserve a full hook up site. The distance is about 300 yards. Not a long walk, but up hill.

I'm not real good at adding to list like this, but I'll second number 8. It took Andrea and I quite some time to realize that if we couldn't see our kids, that was OK. We learned that sooner or later, a pack of kids would go by and likely ours would be in it or at they would know where ours were.

One of the obstacles for us not going to the bash (full hookups) have been removed. Although we'd love to boondook with the rest of you, Shawn will have to work that week and would need electricity to power the computer (all day use) and his cell phone and we don't have a generator.

The next obstacle is internet connectivity, we have two cards - one verizon and one virgin. The coverage maps say yes, but has anyone actually stayed at the campground using either of these?

Actually, that's only part of the equation -- it's that plus running the AC for our dogs -- some people might get by with their little dogs and just opening up all of the windows and such, but with our 145 lbs great dane in there, it just requires a bit more cooling.

I feel Frank may be miss leading the group just a bit. We have rally power on one side of the lake. We have been able to have power for over 40 trailer at past rallies there. There is plenty shad. I have been to many rally at Coopers Lake and never needed my AC. So please Frank calling this a bondocking rally is not 100% true. Sorry to throw you under the bus Frank. There will plenty of power, water and Shad at The Bash II

Okay, so now that we're seriously "thinking" about coming up, here's our unique situation:

1. I will be working in my trailer and have to have power (internet coverage seems to be good on both Sprint as well as Verizon, both of which I use).
2. We have 2 dogs (a 45lb and a 145lb) one of which is a wimp and can't stand the heat (guess which one that is).
3. Our trailer has absolutely no awnings of any shape, kind, color or size.
4. Being a '71 we obviously don't have a grey tank, and there's 2 adults and 2 kiddoes.

Having said all of this, do you think we can wing it out in the circle, or should be just go to the "little kids" table up the hill and do a full hookup?
