Anyone with kids or grand kids have any interest in building and launching model rockets during the Bash? I am looking into bulk kits and thought this might be something fun to do.

Also thinking about model boats on the lake if anyone has them.

Frank

I won't be bringing kids or grandkids but I used to build rockets with my son and am willing to help out if needed.

Parker and Mason are a little too young for that at this point. They'd likely find it cool to watch them launch, but not so much build one up.

The other day I happened upon the picture from last year's Bash of me wearing a chicken mask with a balloon hanging out of my mouth. I made it my wallpaper on my computer at work. Funny, everyone knew the man in the chicken mask was me. They just needed the story behind why...

Good memories.

I'm sure Parker and Mason would love balloons (again) from Obie.

I have found a basic rocket for the young kids. They can, with the help of a parent, snap it all together in a very short time. That one goes about 950 feet. I also found a kit that allows for 16 different rockets to be built from one kit. It is a little more involved, but should be no problem for the young and young at heart. Oh yeah, it goes 1900 feet. The kits will run around $8.00 and $11.00 perspectively. A rocket motor is about a buck a launch. This will be a highly supervised launch. We will be setting up a serious safety zone, but will make it so each kid can launch their own rocket.

Also, if you check either The Trailer Park Troubadours or Coopers Lake's sites you will find bold promotion of the Bash. We are so excited how this event is coming together.

Tickets still available for those wanting to come.
