(SE) Christmas Rally at Stone Mountain

Sorry to miss you PharmGeek but you can always drop by and visit.
The deadline for reservations was Saturday and I haven't verified the # of sites yet but I believe we settled at 39...of course that means around 80 people!

I'll be emailing more info and details later today for those that have registered so look for it in your email inbox and hopefully not your junk mail! Then shortly thereafter I'll send the schedule to everyone.

Our final tally is 47 trailers/sites and over 100 people. The final schedule also included an Ugly, Tacky, Funny Christmas sweater contest, A Doggy Parade and an Ornament Exchange along with the previously planned Trailer Decorating Contest, Christmas Bingo and of course Pot Lucks.

I've only hosted rallies half this size so this one seems huge and challenging but with so much to see at Stone Mountain and so much planned for the rally there is no way anyone is going to leave disappointed...unless they are already Scrooges! haha

Yes it definitely should be a grand time this weekend. I've already chatted with Mother Nature and she said she'd get the rain out of the way early for us.

In a surprise turn of events, I've invited the news stations to come see what we have planned with all the vintage trailers and they may turn up! No final word yet but they say they are interested.

The weather is supposed to be in the 70's for Thursday and just cloudy. I may talk Donald into taking me on Wednesday, which is also predicted 70's. I might take Christmas cookie ingredients and just make them there! The smell of baking cookies will surely attract visitors! See you soon.

Wow, the weather was completely cooperative and we had an awesome time at the rally. It was a great turn out with great participation. We had trailers of all kinds! Some photos can be seen here...

It was a pleasure to meet you John & Robin. This was the rally you started and it turned out wonderful. And I was surprised to see our new acquaintances from Falluminum, Daivd & Susan and of course their rather small Great Danes. With so many people signed up I hadn't realized they were coming! haha

I think it doesn't matter if you think you like German food or not, there's something to be said for NOT having to cook at least one meal! Right? haha
