The trailer sat this weekend as we attended the annual Sasquatch Festival at the Gorge Ampatheater. It is a great festival featuring alternative to light alternative music. It is a great mix of local, up and comers as well as the made it bigs…well as big as an alternative/somewhat indie artist can be. Last year it was 95 degrees and sunny, brutally sunny. This year the festival expanded to 3 days, and each day we dodged the rain at times.
Saturday we had to go home early do to a hail storm. Neko Case was right in the middle of her third song when WHAMO! Marble sized hail. Sunday was nicer and the rain brought with it an amazing rainbow which Matisyahu noted in his set that this was God's sign that he wouldn't let us drown again.
Beck finished up Sunday night with his puppet-tron. He and his band played in front of the stage and the puppet’s stage was behind them. The puppeteers mimicked whatever was going on in front of them and then the side screens showed puppets rather than the band. Very kitchy, we loved it!
Next year we are bringing the trailer! Maybe a mini-rally???
