I've managed to score a business / camping trip to the Williamsburg area from October 11 to October 16. We will be staying at the Newport News Park (Newport News Park: Newport News Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism - Virginia
). I've never stayed there myself, but I have personally scoped it out and it comes highly rated from another Airstreamer. The rate is $31/night for electric and water. If I can get some other people interested, then I'll reserve a pavilion. They have some for small groups which have electricity for a very reasonable price.
We plan to arrive around dinnertime on the 11th and will leave right after breakfast on Sunday. I have to "work" on the 12th and 13th, but Friday and Saturday is all for tourism in the Historic Triangle. We've visited many times. If there's some newbies to the area then perhaps Andrea and I could arrange a suggested visit list and/or be amateur tour guides if people are willing to follow us around.
Who'd like to join us? Please vote. If there's enough response then I'll get an entry on the rally calendar. We're going to be there whether it turns in to a rally or not...so feel free to show up even at the last minute and look for the shiny round trailer.
