Old Timers Day Vintage parade and show in Estancia NM

Saturday July 28 is Old Timers Day in beautiful downtown Estancia (central NM). As part of the celebration, there is a parade down main street in which there are a growing number of vintage cars. Vintage trailers with or without vintage tow vehicles are also welcome. Depending on interest there may be an opportunity for participating in a show and weekend camping at the town park. No prizes, but no fees either. Send me a PM if you are interested and include your email and phone number.

A similar event is in the planning stages for "Pumpkin Chunkin" towards the end of October.

Where is the closest camping?

Those old timers days are fun - my wife is born and raised in Melrose NM and we go to theirs each year - the word parade is kind of a loose term as anything goes....

There may be camping on site. Lacking that the nearest camping is in the National Forest in the Manzano Mountains which is 15 miles west. There are numerous campsites ranging from primitive to regular campsites with hookups.
