We have so much stuff to pack that we may have to take two vehicles! Between paddleQuest materials, food, and the paperwork for all of that, we have the two doggies, Loren, Larry and I, Kayaks and etc. to pack too. We started last week, but it doesn't seem like we are getting anywhere! LOL!
I will start on the refrigerator stuff next! Roger, Tell Mary Lou that I am making a big batch of macaroni salad and some cucumber salad if I get a chance.

Ok Lou
Tater Salad and Deviled eggs all finished. I'm not really sure what all we are bringin, but as always I think there will be enough food. Washed truck and trailer today. Ya know its amazing what I can get done when I close that door. I think I'll keep it closed for a while till I regain my sanity. (if thats possible) Tomorrow we will fuel , get any last minute grocerys and get the hitch down from the barn and check the rest of the systems.
LOOKIN GOOD!
Roger

I cut the firewood into smaller chunks tonight (since I have an outdoor boiler, my wood is cut to 2-3' in length). Due to the rain over the past couple days, the wood is in a wheelbarrow in the garage to dry a bit.
This week's project has been to somewhat redo the bathroom in the 'stream. After our last camping trip I discovered a small leak at the toilet supply line. I pulled the toilet out to investigate and decided that new flooring and removal of the "stick-on-tile-up-the-walls" courtesy of the PO had to go. This requied new 1/4" plywood walls under the sink, tub, etc. It is pretty much done, looks much better. But, I discovered that the toilet leak wasn't at the flare fitting...it's in the toilet valve itself. So, a new toilet is now on the list of things to buy ASAP for the AS. As for this weekend, we'll be camping with a towel under the water inlet valve on the toilet and turning the water pump off unless needed.
I cleaned things up and stowed things in the AS tonight (converted from driveway mode to travelling mode). Andrea's already packing things up. We're slowing getting dedicated things in the AS like swinsuits for all, towels, etc. The fridge is running and now pretty well stocked. In the spirit of pie-dies, we're bringing plenty of bread, lunchmeat, cheese, etc. Andrea has begun preparing a wonderful Ramen-coleslaw that we stole the recipie from another airstream/airforumer at Springstreeam in GA. I'll have my little charcoal grill with me and likely fired up at dinnertime if anyone needs it (besides us).
Our family should be pulling in around 6pm I'd say. I'll work my normal Friday hours since our drive is only about 15 minutes. I haven't hitched up yet or anything. We'll be eating something for dinner as soon as we get there and get at least partially settled in.
Wow! You sure are making progress! We are glad you found the real leak! Remind us to tell you the story about why we try NOT to ever leave the water pump in the ON position for long periods and especially not going down the road.
Coleslaw sounds good! We will do paninis if there is a campfire on Fri. night.

IF you read this before hitting the road. We are just about ready. I have a little cleanup to do in the trailer. Installed a new MicroWave yesterday(Job) which required some disassembly and reassembly of the cabinet. Just the normal securing of awnings and windows and putting food onboard.
Hope to see ya around 4 oclock.
Roger

So I guess I get to be the first to report here how it went.
We had a blast as usual. Thanks for showing up and giving me a hand with Paddle Quest. The food and hunks of meat were delicious and enjoyed by all. Hope we can do it again soon... but not too soon, I have blisters because I paddled faster upon hearing the banjo music... crazy rednecks!
We did see about 4 other airstreams cruising down rt. 30 here in Ohio.
Thanks to Roger, Mary Lou, Jason, Andrea, the boys, Al and Shinim for the moral support this weekend. PaddleQuest was good! We got nice prizes and the weather couldn't have been better! Today we really paddled down the river. Larry and I haven't been in a canoe in ever so long! Loren and her friend, Sharon, went in kayaks and had a blast. The water wasn't deep, but it sure was cold! We have to do it again sometime!

Well we made it home safe, with no problems. We enjoyed every minute of our weekend. Was nice to make some more new friends. Andrea and Jason and the boy's. Lou,Larry,Loren, we had a great time at Paddle Quest. The weather cooperated which is amazing. We enjoyed Pleasant Hill Campground very much despite the distances to the shower houses.
Al & Shinim it was great to see you again, its been to long. Hope to see you all again soon.

I polished of the remaining two just last night along with some more cheese. I just can't seem to get Andrea so excited about a hunk of my meat.
I'd bring it again but I unfortunately don't know of a time that we might catch up with any of you until Penn-Wood. We've got family stuff during Metro-Detroit, Lou and Larry (and assumably Loren) are booked over The Wilds weekend. I seem to think that your Salt Fork trip wasn't going to fit in our calendar...when was that again?
ctdair has vacation days and that is what spurred the Salt Fork plan. June 29-Mon.thru Wed., I believe....I am not near to a calendar. We have not been to Salt Fork for many, many years.
Anyone been there lately??

We're camping Jun 27 - 29 with some co-workers in Navarre, so 29-31 could be do-able. But, I've been planning to not plan anything for that week since I'm off work that week and I have a lot of projects at home that need attention. We'll see how things go.
Forgot to mention in the last post...we bought two campfire panini presses at The Fin on Sunday. :-)
