Birthday Bash!

We had a great time at the birthday bash with Dan and Dawn over the weekend. The AS did okay and we did not find any leaks yet, even though it rained on us several times. Since we were boondocking we didn't try out the AC which was what took the brunt of the trees falling all over it. We have an appt. at JC to get it looked at and the adjuster should be here tomorrow morning. Cross your fingers! Thanks!
Lou

We're home now...

Your tree-fallen-on AS is obviously doing better still than ours in the leak dept. I thought I had all the leaks at the front curbside corner sealed, but a heck of a thunderstorm that came through the Bash field lash night highlighted a rather large issue of leakage for us. By the time I woke up and discovered something had leaked, it was too late to pin-point the source.

Thanks Lou and Larry for the bucket idea for getting fresh water. We bought two on Sunday and during a gully washer where we were sitting under the tilted awning, we decided to put a bucket at the low corner and see how much water we could collect. We got a full 5 gal bucket! Try that with a pour spout type container!

We developed a bit of an electrical issue last night, too. I haven't had time to track it down yet, but there's no blown fuses and everything works when connected to either AC power or to the tow vehicle. For some reason though, it's like the main battery all of a sudden is just disconnected. Fun for me to figure out tonight. Nevertheless since the fridge needs 12V to run the controller, so we slept with the generator running in order to save the stuff in the fridge. Also allowed us to run the fan in the AC unit, too (no AC though).

thunderboomers

We had to drive through that big thunderstorm on the way home. It was pretty hard and nasty and we even had a little bit of hail. It was slow going. We are sorry to hear about the leaks and electrical problems and we hope that they are easy fixes for you. It seems there is always something to fix up, doesn't it?
Let us know if you need help finding the bucket lids for your two little guys. The 5 gal. buckets have found multiple uses for us...carrying to the campfire containers, footstools, end tables, extra seating in the trailer, water carrying containers, etc. We try and limit their exposure as much as possible so that they are relatively clean for whatever comes their way. LOL!

Findley SP

Larry and I, Shinim and Al, Loren and Mike are camping at Findley SP this coming weekend, July 9 and 10. There are a few sites left. Hopefully, it will cool down a little before the weekend. HOT here!

We'll miss that one. Like I've mentioned before, it's a holy grail kinda thing for us to see Al and Shinim camping. It's just seemingly never going to happen. We're camping with some work & SoB friends up in MI 7th-10th. So we won't be able to make it to Findley.

Does this mean the Argosy is now yours or did you buy a different camper / AS?

so we are planning a road trip for this sept, and we start off with the first night camping near Cuyahoga Falls NP (September 3rd, a friday). Any suggestions for campgrounds? Will anyone be camping in the area? we'd love the company!

that is great!

We will bring some shade with us! I don't know if our AC is up to snuff since the trees landed on it! Guess we will find out! LOL!

Of course! Just wait till you see the cost of that... refer to previous post about wedding to be paid for. (not to mention the step stool comment)
