PEE WEE
Not sure about the "WILDS" I see no reference to it on the Rally calender . Can U elaborate??
Roger, If you go you would have to find baby sitters for your three little furry girls, as this is NOT a pet friendly park! There are way too many wild animals there already! LOL

Got a really weird feeling last night pulling into my driveway without my trailer. I think this is the first time it was "not in my possesion" overnight!
But, it is very good hands in the LaGrange Airstream Park!
Of course I left something in it I really need, so I'll probably be visiting real soon.
A date for the axle party has not been set, but I suspect Larry would prefer sooner than later. I'll be happy as long as it and my truck are ready by metro detroit.
Dan, Just let us know when you are ready to work. We thought maybe you might be wanting to start this weekend?? You can catch Larry on the cell phone most anytime.

A note regarding that axle swap...I talked to JTI and surprisingly wasn't impressed. It sounded like I interrupted the guy's acid trip when I called and he seemed less than excited to have the job. The axles are up to $418 each w/o brakes and he said $200 / axle to swap them out. He hmm-hawd about modifications / mounting, etc. So, with Dan's recent happy deal with Axis, I called them up. Granted, it took a few mintues for them to get me a free technician to talk to, but once I did he was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Provided that I really can swap over my brake plates (PO told me they were new last year, but some of the PO's statements have turned out to be a bit shady) then I'm looking at about $200 / axle + tax + pickup. I plan on filling out the Axis request sheet as soon as I can get enough time to get under the trailer again and take some measurements.
That is interesting! Things can change, we guess! That is too bad. They had a good thing going when we did ours, but as we said it was several years ago.
Good luck with your axles!
I think Dan will be here on Sat. night to work on the axle with Larry. He stopped by for a few minutes today. We think he has a little separation anxiety! LOL!!!

My your roads be straight and smooth and may you always have a tailwind!
I guess I will miss the axle swap. We're camping / visiting family / shopping in the Columbus area this weekend. Please post the major pitfalls here on the forum. As of this moment it looks like Axis might very well be my route although I still intend to call Andy just to hear that he wants $500 an axle w/o brakes.
With us it was the fact that I didn't want the hassle of having to hunt new bearings, race's,seals and have to try to come up with brake parts to repair 33 yr old brakes. So I opted to pay the big money and get all new. The ease of installation was a factor also, because at the time it seemed that others were posting problems with other brands of axles, either not fitting correctly, because the measurements were either done wrong or they were welded up wrong . I think the biggest factor was that I am a DIYer ,I have always done everything for myself and because of my advancing age I didnt need anymore problems than I already have.
I had no problem with the install,my axles fit perfect.

Please note that the $330 is axle, hubs, & brakes. Also, all new. Even got new lug nuts! Woohoo
AND Fresh PAINT!! Witch came out of the carpet of a 2008 Chrysler Mini van nicely with a "baby wipe"! Wife was impressed! Ace did you ever get it out of your shorts? LOL!!
I'll figure out what Dawn wants to cook. Scalloped corn sound good?
Scalloped corn sounds yummy! It sounds like a good day too. Are you bringing a camera to document this big swap, or do you want me to use my cheapie???
