Leave is approved!
My boss just approved my leave... so, this is what we'll be doing... I think I convinced Zoe' for the road trip next month...
Depart Quantico Wednesday evening after work. Drive about 4 hours (get to Morgan Town, WV). On Thursday, get on the road and head for Jackson Center with the goal to be there by Tour time in the afternoon. Spend the night at the Terra Port. Get on the road early Friday, to get to Milan around noon. Spend Friday and Saturday there, and get back on the road early Sunday to make it back to Quantico at a decent time and not have to rush.
We're excited! Is there a Rally Fee Dave? Now I have to go back and read this entire thread!!! We're looking forward to it! Yes, I do have a cool Michigan Water decal Rhonda!!!!

We don't do any sort of fee but we usually do a raffle of donated items. So if you have anything to donate(hint, hint) bring it along. If anyone else has anything to donate please bring it. Renee and Derek you need to make some more license plate frames. I need another chance to win one! Since Holly can't make it I might have a chance.
As far as kids activities Hannah and I are trying to cook up some ideas. I don't know how many young ones we will have this year. So far I only count the Baker Trio, the Asselin trio, Soldiermedic's son and Tin Sista's son. Lots of boys this year! Is that right? Did I miss anybody?
Dave and I wanted to invite everyone to a goodbye breakfast at our trailer Sunday morning at 9:00am. But please have patience since I am not a morning person!
Rob if you didn't already know the tour starts at 2:00PM sharp and you get a 10% discount on all Airstream labeled items in the store if you take the tour!

Is anything open there on Saturday morning? We are pulling into the Terraport around 1 AM Saturday morning, and was hoping to visit the store.

Oh I forgot that Steph. Yeah everyone is responsible for their own table service.
Rob, I was afraid you might head out early. I guess the best we can do is set the timer on the coffee pot. What time do you need your coffee?

On the road, I81, right now trying to make it home before dinner...2 hours to go with Scranton and rush hour in the way...We'll probably depart around 7am... with a 10-11 hours I figure back to Quantico....taking our time... a long day. I've got some Milan area research to do now...Steve Klohn, you should come over too!

WOW (i say it louder) Kudos to the long distance travelers, looking forward to meeting new people and seeing some familiar faces and eating corn. Rhonda, license plate frames are not a problem, hope to make them early this year and not the night before we leave for the rally like last year. Although we are scheduled to be camping every weekend in July and up to the rally, my free time is minimal these days. Felix is getting a work out this year, made the second trip to Road America last weekend, roads in Indiana and Illinois are still rough like the first trip, but no broken windows this time, just a missing 5' section of sewer hose and road rash on a 10' section. Live and learn, big holes should be covered while traveling!! We have new vintage style awning, that looks awesome, tried it out for the first time this past trip. Unless things change, Renee, Felix and myself (I think I should name my truck) will leave for KC about 6pm from Portage should arrive about 8pm. Hope there will be enough people at KC to help us back into place, last year I think I had five guys helping out. Not to back-up helpers: put down the drink, so you have both arms to wave about

We have been moved to site 25 I think. KC Called this morning and said someone was crying they wanted site 23 So I said Ok NP. I may not like 25 if it aint got no shade.
I went to JC today and picked up our new axles so I am reasonabley sure we are gonna make it.

We are on spot 13 for the rally. Anyone know who our neighbors are? Anyone have an idea if there will be shade in the area?

Site
I'm calling the campground tomorrow to see what site I'm on.
I was wondering, is there anything cool to stop and see along the way from the Factory to Milan with the family?

Well, as you come up US23, at Dundee is Michigan's most-attended "tourist attraction" - a large new (maybe 3 yrs. old) Cabela's store. I'm not kidding. It's got good parking, LOTS of mounted animals posed more or less realistically in a center-of-the-store mountain replica that's several stories high, a walk-through aquarium that kids of all ages love, etc. And lots of nice fishing and hunting stuff. We Michiganders apparently love it!

IMHO the Dayton Air force Museum is by far the coolest thing in the area. Its an hour south of Jackson Center though and not along the path you are headed.

We will be parked in lot 3 I think. Mike, I guess it is just us coming early so I guess we will see you first! I think our plan is to be there Wednesday night. If I remember correctly the whole section has alot of shade trees. Both the Neil Armstrong museum and Cabela's are cool. Dave and I went to the museum before the kids came along. I do not know if the under 7 set would enjoy it. Cabela's is great. My kids call it the stuffed animal zoo. The Toledo zoo is an awesome zoo that is just the right size for the young kids. But really the only thing you will see between the factory and Milan is farms!

Talked to my daughter-in-law and son yesterday, today is her second to last scheduled doctor's appointment. Depending upon the outcome they may be picking the birth date so I am still up in the air as to when this Baby grand daughter of mine will be here...soon, I know that. Sounds like a great rally so I am sorry I can't actually schedule in advance this time but don't count me out yet...
On another note did you see this post?

If anyone has had dealings with Weekley RV or could be an inspector for a couple from Ontario Canada, please respond to the poster (Deanna) or thread. They are considering a 27'FB. Thanks.
