Now I'm really sorry we won't be able to join you all! We started making all our travel plans back in January and have been on the road the past three weekends and again this coming weekend. We will be on the open road for all of July. Have fun and know we wish we could be with you all.

Send $5.00 to help the cause!

Hi Kathy,

Somebody already contacted me regarding the last spot. If you'd like, I'll put you on the waiting list if anyone should cancel.

This year..... the campground will only give us 12 sites, as they are using the other half of the Safari Field for their seasonal campers July 4th cook out.

I plan to leave early Friday morning. Although, I tried to leave early this past weekend and got out of the driveway at 2PM. Allie assures me this will not happen again.

(oh. it's a 5.5 hour drive or so.)

I am so excited about this trip. The campground looks so pretty. We almost thought we had to cancel the trip. My old wagon broke on the way home from Scussett. Nothing major (AC compressor condenser $950), but enough to make me want another TV so I could have piece of mind that I would have less of a chance of breaking down. My wife bought me this:

I could not be happier. And now there is more reason to be excited about the first camping trip with the new truck!!

Hi All,

At the request of several folks, we will have a POTLUCK supper on the 4th of July (Friday). Please don't feel compelled to join... as you may have other plans. But we would love to have everybody.

Getting excited to see everyone!

We are also bringing one of our dutch ovens to make a venison stew in. Nothing more American than this!

It's totally fun to cook with a dutch oven. I will bring my dutch oven cook books for folks to look through.

I don't know if I'll be able to contribute to the potluck dinner with my dutch oven since I will be getting in that afternoon. I could make some coleslaw prior to departing. I make a killer coleslaw.

Canoe/Kayak rental

For those of you who want to go out on the lake, but not want to drag your canoe along..............the campground has reserved 2 kayaks & 1 canoe for our group. The fee is $10/boat per day. You can all take turns using the boats. If interested......... all you need to bring is your own life jackets.
Not a bad deal as most rentals will charge $30/4 hours.

Myboyburt.......make sure Leon brings his fishing gear. The boys can use the rental canoe to go fishing.
