Thanks Lou. It was a blast seeing everyone and talking Airstreams and rally plans. But I ate way too much pizza!

That was the deepest deep dish pizza we have ever seen. But it was so good! Lorrie and I had a great time. Only wish it had been a little quieter so we could have heard all the conversations. Thanks Lou for being the instigator (I mean organizer).

Just a little recap here for the folks further out in Michigan, Ohio and Canada that couldn't make it for the evening. In attendance was of course, Lou! Candie Patterson, Alex and Gracie, Andy and Claudia Neumann, Jeff Terry, Joe Peplinski, Lorrie Robertson, Brad Baidinger, and me.

I am not sure if it will be in July or August. Everyone that wants to attend the Metro-Detroit Rally chime in with your ideas of when or even where.
Glad you all had a great time, wish we could have made it! Any campground location is fine for us. The only weekend tied up for us so far in July is the one preceding the 4th. August is all open!

Well, I have to make sure that all of the V.P.'s can make the rally!
Annie and Marvin are V.P.'s in charge of the Canadian chapter of the LPPI. They also maintain the newly chartered Florida chapter!

Well, we could always have to rally in your front yard?
I am still not sure where or when it will be. I will be calling around this week to see if we will get any discounts having 15-25 trailers. I am sure we can get a good deal on something.

I've been following this thread with great interest since Pizza Papalis was brought into it. I think I'm gonna need a full report. Does it beat Gino's East? What's their speciality? What did everyone order? You can't just bring up pizza and leave me hangin' like this.

My husband and I grew up in Chicago and would you believe we didn't even know the traditional Chicago style pizza! I did go to Ginos in HS once but that was soooo long ago.

Anyway, we finished the leftovers today. Bradley and I ordered TWO pizzas one thin, one pan. Oh my, yes, I told you I ate way TOO much! The ingredients and toppings were very generous and the crust was like pastry. The sauce and sausage nicely seasoned, tomatoes sweet. The bruschetta was excellent too with the sweet red onion and those tomatoes. Yummmm

I bet if we twisted Tin Sista's arm she'll have a quite nice pizza graphic for us to enjoy and complete the visual for our virtual pizza date with you.

Gino's East is great pizza.
Pizza Papalis is great too. It is a real deep, deep dish with the toppings accounting for a little better than half of the deep dish! Candie and I had the meat lovers with garlic added to it! AWESOME!

Okay, when does the caravan leave for Detroit? Wheels, this sounds sooooo good! Thanks for a taste of your virtual pizza.
