Here is a facilities map. :)

I figured I would let everyone see the map of the campgrounds.
I would have to assume that the group area are the spots right near the entrance????
Harold, could you enlighten us?

Scouting Report 3.0

The group area is just inside the main gate, but before the office and store, on the left hand side, going in. Its roomy and level, with water and electric. We would be separated from the rest of the campground by some trees and a building. Theres a road/path going from the northeast end of the group area to the pool and bath house. The group area seems like maybe 75 or 100 yds long and maybe 50 yd wide, trees on three sides and the entrance road on the west side. I think the place will work out just fine. I'm ready to go tonite

Thanks, Harold.
John, have you talked to them at Apple Creek yet? Is there a discount involved?
Who else it ready to lend a hand? The three of us could use some frosh ideas too.

For things to do? An octopus toss contest?

Go Wings! One team, one goal!!! Bring that mug on home! Sorry don't know what came over me...
It would help if I gave everyone my address, huh?
If you can find it in your heart to donate any amount please send it to:
Louis Patterson
8063 Gage Crescent
Sterling Heights, MI. 48314

Here is a list of what people came away with:
Custom T-shirt for everyone in their size for everyone in attendance
Rechargeable "Airstream" flashlights for every trailer
Personalized and laminated rally signs

Door prizes were:
CO detectors
Two cell Mag-Lite flashlights
Toolboxes
Caribineer watches
"Airstream" awning/patio lights

Ask anyone who attended last year's rally. Everyone came away with something. No one was left out.

Amassing all this was not easy. Time was taken to pick and design the T-shirts. Time was taken to collect everyones shirt sizes. Someone had to go approve the T-shirts and then go pick them up once they were all done.

I am already working on the freebies for this year's rally. If there are not enough donations ahead of time we may have to hold a raffle for the door prizes to cover the costs involved. I would rather give it all away, myself.

I have talked to Apple Creek, and will set up the reservation with them today. I'll post info tonite. The only discount they will give is if we get I think all 25 to show up in the group area, then we get $1 off per night! Well, it's $25/night anyway and that's a pretty good deal to begin with.

They have a large rec room that doubles as the meeting room that they will let us have free of charge should we need it, just need to clean up afterwards.

I did notice that they charge $3.00/per night extra for AC.

Hey, did I forget to mention Al and Jean?
I was going through my posts and I think I left them off all together!
Every single Canadian member is treasured in the LPPI. Mainly because each one is a possible resource for my Canadian beer!
I digress. I like them because they are all so nice!
<really, it is the beer>

Unfortunately, work got in the way of pleasure today. I will call Apple Creek tomorrow and get the group area reserved for us.

Hi all, If we end up going to Apple Creek Harold and I will go early in the week. We will both have to go back and forth to work on Thursday and Friday, but are only about 10 miles from work anyway. If you need info just let us know. Looking forward to seeing Woodruffs again and meeting you all in person, LeeAnn PS Could we try the pink beanie on VP HDS anyway? I think it just might be a good look for him!

Smile Question from the rank and file...

Are the pink beanies reserved for execs? I'd surely enter a raffle for a pink beanie as long as my union is ok with it--LOL!

Well, it looks like I gotta find a source for pink beanies!
Who here has not heard the stories of the LPPI name or the pink beanies?
Should I regale all with some campfire lore from last year?
<oh please say yes!>
