Hobo Rally 2009

I drove to the Hobo rally, in Blythe California, to give a seminar on hitches, etc., by invitation.

That rally usually has 200 to 250 coaches in attendance.

Not yesterday.

The weather was great.

A total of only 66 were present.

How very sad, indeed.

But, what was there, for the members, was great.

A couple of folks at the rally also said that, along with some bad rain storms were forecasted, for Blythe.

So far, the storms haven't shown their face.

The way things are going here in california, pretty soon the hobo population will be on the rise.
Maybe next year will be a better one for hobo attendance.

that's for sure, not such a funny rally theme today.

We've attended the Hobo rally since 2003. Seems that the first year, there were about 165-170 rigs at the fairgrounds. There was also a fair vintage turn-out.
Each year the number of rigs has dwindled. Last year, there were around 115 at the rally. And yes, this year 2009, only 66 or so.
