Going South Vintage Rally - april 19 - 22

Come on down: Thursday, April 19 - Sunday, April 22 to Fairview Riverside State Park in Madisonville, LA. (directly across Lake Ponchatrain from New Orleans) 8 units already CONFIRMED. The park WILL NOT hold blocks of sites so make reservations through "Reserve America." Sites 28 thru 52 proposed as rally sites. Reservations must be made soon because this park fills up quickly - especially in the Spring when flowers are in bloom & the crabs & fish are biting right off the campground river walk (there's also a boat launch if you need 1)! Several couples are planning to stay extra days so they can take advantage of The Big Easy (New Orleans) which is a great plan. Rally fee of $20 per person includes 3 breakfasts of Dutchoven Muffins/Sweet Rolls & coffee (Chicory will be an option), Cajun Red Beans & Rice at pot luck, Miss'ippi Bar-B-Que featuring chef-smoked pork shoulders & fixins, awards for Longest Distance Towed & People's Choice, tour of Abita Beer Brewery (includes samples!) & tour of, 1 of (if not) THE, largest private collections of restored vintage Fords (over 300) in the U.S. & he has vintage slot machines, boats, motorcycles, Ford dealership memorabilia, & Budweiser collectables. Movie night with Laurel & Hardy and Amos & Andy camping in vintage trailers complete with vintage trailer cartoons featuring Mickey Mouse & Donald Duck. For more details, registration, &/or questions, contact Anne & Ronnie Mollere at remollere@aol.com

"GOING SOUTH" Vintage Trailer Rally in April

The Vintage Rally at Fairview Riverside State Park is STILL on (we missed the posts & questions). Arrival on Wed. April 18 - Departure of Sun. April 22. If anyone wants an application or more information, e-mail us at remollere@aol.com (set up that address especially for Rally correspondence).

Talked to Abita yesterday and they assured us that they "won't" give out of beer! And, the owner of the "private" (NOT open to public) Ford museum will not bodily throw out Fordites who can't tear themselves away (by the way, he's the distributor for Budweiser & his Ford's are in a building behind the distribution center!)

"GOING SOUTH" Vintage Trailer Rally in April

Great !!! We have added you to our "map" (doing that so participates know who is where).

Please e-mail us at the "rally" address: remollere@aol.com so that we can forward an application to you. Need that back with you & your trailer's information so that we can get some rally items prepared in advance.

You are the 1st & ONLY participant from Louisiana which really has surprised us ! There are now 16 coming from 6 states.

Going South Vintage Trailer Rally

We've gotten some feedback saying that some of you want to attend the rally. Please contact us at remollere@aol.com if that's the case because we have 2 private tours scheduled (Abita Beer & the Ford Collection) that need to know how many people to expect. And, our caterers need numbers too. (Rally fee includes both tours, Saturday night dinner, Dutch Oven sweet rolls & muffins for breakfast, & red beans & rice at pot luck where everyone else brings a main dish/side item/salad/dessert/etc to share.

Time is getting short & we NEED to know who's coming !

Do you allow 'Vintage' visitors?
We live about 20 miles away but are not road ready yet
We would love to visit and meet y'all.
If anyone has an interest in a Dometic RM60 for free parts, we will bring the fridge with us..

Vintage trailer rally

Jane & Keith,

We would love to have you come by. There is an OPEN HOUSE on Saturday from 10:00 until 12:00 for the public to view the trailers. You can bring the Fridge and see if anybody needs it and thanks for sharing the parts.

We are in site 1036 or 36 right next to the bath house, you'll see a large yellow tent, come by and say hello, would love to meet you and talk trailers.

Regards,

Ronnie Mollere

Going South Vintage Trailer Rally

Not sure what you mean about partcipating. If you want to attend rally functions (tours, meals, movie night, campfire visiting, etc), you need to register. If you have to miss a day or activity (like having to miss the Open House because of the soccer game), then you just come back & join us. At least 1 partcipant isn't getting in until Thursday and will miss the Ford Collection tour -- they (a couple) are however fully registered & going to participate in everything else. This is NOT 1 of those rallies where you are expected to be involved with all activities --- if you want to eat breakfast with everyone else, great -- if you want to sleep in, that's great too & no one will mind. We have purposely scheduled lots of "free time" for individuals or small groups to be able choose what they want to do. We do need everyone to register though so we can get name tag(s), meal preparation, trailer I.D. cards for Open House, list of participants for tours, etc.

Anne & Ronnie

We do EXPECT and WELCOME visitors interested in vintage trailers but who don't have 1 yet or have 1 that isn't ready to go.
