I'm so bummed. We LOVE Rocky Point & I literally just made plans for that week for a bike trip with a buddy. Hopefully next year? Or maybe another date?

I seriously doubt, that your information is valid, since I got the last 16 spaces that were available for a group. Were you planning to park on the sand?
There is no information anywhere online about your news, so I have to assume it is subversive FAKE NEWS: which would be a violation of the code of ethics with this Forum.
I may be wrong, but prove your point, as it would be an awesome turnout for Airstreamers. BYW - The "Streamers" that you mentioned are a motorcycle club, not Air-Streamers.

My goodness you are aggressive. I only mentioned it because of the other thread which you have since replied to.
This is a group of Airstream friends that do this on a regular basis and they (LHall) reached out to you on the other thread.
It is Airstreams not motorcycles and they have been doing this for many years. It is not a WBCCI event, it is not a unit rally. It is a group of friends who happen to have Airstreams and they also enjoy going to Mexico.
I'm sorry I mentioned it.

Boeingjet, get your ego out of the cloud and read post #18, on your own thread. Don't blast those who let you know what is being posted about other activities so you are informed and can plan and coordinate as you have stated has thoroughly been done by you.
Your responses are not doing anything to support many who might have been considering joining you....and your aggressive attitude would support why the formal entity ditched you.

Okay not sure why I'm trying one last time.
This just happens to be a group of friends who go to Mexico who happen to own airstreams.
It is not a rally, it is not sanctioned by any group other than them. It is nothing else than a fellow group of are streamers that will happened to be in the same place. I'm not sure what it's so difficult to understand about that.
Many of us have encouraged you and support your rally. Go enjoy have fun and let us know what we all missed.

One more time I want to make it clear that this event was not "dumped" on Region 11 - nor did anyone that I am aware "ditch" you - I can tell you that Mr Thompson spent a lot of time on this and in the end - because a caravan requires a certain number of nights and certain number of days - and because I don't think we want to see the caravan club start doing rallies - he was not able to make it work for the caravan club - so he asked Region 11 to consider it - now we all have to agree that a rally to say Dana Point Ca carries much less risk than a trip to the Mexican coast - individuals taking the risk on their own to go down there - and I know many who go down there and some who own real estate - is much different that asking a large group such as the WBCCI to take on the risk of an entire group. Please stop this blaming thing for something that was given serious consideration. Thanks

I would also like to add, that this is a private gathering that we have been hosting for many years. We had no idea of a planned rally when sites were booked a year ago. I’m sorry to shake a hornets nest, was attempting to inform you that another group would be there at the same time and may be a good opportunity to meet other AS folks while down there.
Good luck with the rally, it is something that I have wanted to do for a while.

We would so love to join you on this trip, but we have a cruise scheduled at that time. Is there an email list or some way to see upcoming caravans? I love Mexico and would really like to go if you plan another trip.
