TAC-GA/Springstream, Stone Mt. Rally

Some people have asked about TAC so here is the scoop on that. TAC stands for The Airstreamers Club. You can learn more about TAC by going to their website at The Airstreamer's Club. TAC has a Facebook site and a Twitter area as well. An electronic newsletter comes out from time to time. On Air Forums, there a membership private forum so that TAC members can communicate without bothering anyone else on the forum. Meetings if and when they are held are online. The emphasis is on "just camping" and enjoying Airstream products. There is no rule book, regulations, protocols, or official standards. The organization emphasis is on fun not rules. It's a diverse, loosely knit group. There are no membership dues but you can sign up for free on the website and donations are encouraged. There is no rally fee unless the rally organizer(s) wish to assess one to cover rally costs. There are no paid officers. Those of us who put on events are doing so voluntarily to provide additional opportunities to use Airstream products. Everyone in TAC is encouraged to attend TAC events and to organize TAC events to keep things going. That is all I can tell you.

Tour Of Trailers

Some people have voiced an interest in a "Tour Of Trailers". The "Tour Of Trailers" will start on Friday at 4:00 PM and end about 5:30. Remember to be at the Pavilion by 6:00PM for the "Meet and Greet" Appetizer Social.
By no means feel obligated to participate in the "Tour". Mark Your Trailer post and window plainly if you are participating. Only visit trailers that are clearly marked that they are participating in the "Tour of Trailers". If you are leaving your trailer open for viewing, remember to lock your valuables in your tow vehicle out of view. This "Tour of Trailers" activity is especially exciting for those who have put so much effort into restoring their vintage trailers, others are just trying to get restoration ideas, some folks like the newer trailers and motorhomes and want to see the floor plans when considering upgrading. So get out and take a walk around, ask some questions, meet a few people, and enjoy the trailers of all ages.

Glad we are going to do the "tour of trailers". I need some ideas for my interior. The gray painted inside is just so boring. Also not real thrilled with the upholstery of the couches. It is a mish mash from a couple of past owners.

If you have a rally for Airstream folks they will come. We all need little excuse to hitch up and go.

Did I mentioned that everyone needs to bring their own plates, napkins and silverware to the social gatherings? Also bring a utensil to dish out whatever food items you are sharing. Bring your own drinks to the "Meet and Greet". We will need to find out if alcoholic beverages are allowed in the campground. Sometimes they are only allowed on your private campsite and not in public spaces, othertimes they aren't allowed at all. Chime in if anyone knows the rules.

Not sure but I have stayed there several times and as long as you kept a low profile there was never an issue.

Alan, that reminds me, please bring your griddle for pancakes! I have an electric griddle that will cook around 5 or 6 pancakes depending on size. We should have at least two going. If anyone else has a nice large griddle please post.

Wonderful, thanks. Our rally is sponsored by Austin, Tx based BATTER BLASTER, the organic waffle and pancake mix in a can. We are going to need several grills to crank out the Batter Blaster pancakes. I use the stuff at home, it's good.

Sunday Brunch

I will bring my vintage waffle iron and a vintage 30 cup coffee percolator for the Sunday Brunch.Be watching for good deals on syrup.
I have had requests for there to be another "Tour Of Trailers" on Saturday, for those people who won't be set up in time for Friday's tour. So, for people who aren't rushing off to the Stone Mountain Attractions and would rather enjoy a relaxing day at the campground, we will plan a Saturday morning tour as well.Probably between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM.

Did you say hot chocalate? That's my favorite, especially with a hint of rasberry.

Either Kristi or I will check with the park and see how many rally spots are left. This is developing into a good sized rally so don't delay too much longer before making your reservation.
