This rally is looking better all the time! It's great to see there are still some super nice sites open for folks to get in. So go online or pick up the phone and make your reservation to be part of the Airstream and vintage trailer community! Personally, I get a big kick in looking at the older style trailers.

We're all alone at 148

Hello all!
It seems like no one wants to come over to the other side of the loop - I'm feeling lonely!!
I chose 148 because it is in the loop we've reserved but it is separated by the little street which keeps the traffic from going by you constantly into the park and headlights shining on you as folks make the curves.
Come join us!!
Also, if anyone needs a place to sleep or hookup the Thursday night before the rally, since we live in Stone Mountain (5 miles from the park's boat ramp), you are welcome to hook up at our house.
Let us know.
Beth

Matt and Cassie Miller have reserved site 144.

Did I mention that the Pavilion in our reserved loop holds 200 people. Call
770-498-5710 ask for Darlene and let her know that you are with the Airstream Group to get the discount Rally rate for April 27-29.If you want to come a day earlier or stay a little longer the group rate still applies.

I just got a phone call from Stone Mt. Park and our tally is now 26 reservations so as Kristi said there are still spots but it's getting right down there. That is a wonderful response and I thank each and every one of you for making the effort to reserve a spot. You are going to be glad you did and the rally will be a great time.

Wanted to pass along another rally benefit. All rally participants are entitled to a free water taxi ride around the lake. The ride takes around 35 minutes and simply gives you another perspective of the park. It's well worth it. Ask about the free boat ride when you register. Additional sites have been added in the orange area and are very close to the loop in case the loop fills up and you still need a great spot.

Ok we're in ! Got site #2 which is supposed to be next to all of you and has a lake view.
Two rallys in two weeks..sounds like FUN with a capital A for aluminum. Can I use my kayak in the lake?

TAC-GA/Springstream, Stone Mt. Park Rally

On Saturday in the campground is Kids Spring Fling with the following planned activities: Kids Fishing Tournament (age 15 and under), Family Boat Ride, and a magic show featuring Magic Man. The Spring Fling will be over in plenty of time for us to set up for our afternoon pot luck. Either Kristi or I will post the latest community listing for the campground over the next few days. We are getting down to a very limited number of open spots in the main loop so don't delay in making your reservation.

Alan: yes, bring your kayak, a number of us are bringing our boats to tool around in. Great to hear you will be making it. Might there be any music at the Friday night social? That would be nice but I know how hard it is to bring something like that together. You have a great site reserved.

Not sure what other musicians will be there. I guess it depends on that. We'll look at it though

TAC-GA/Springstream Stone Mt. Park Rally

Here is a great summary of what's going on the weekend of the rally. Whole lotta stuff going on. I need a head count for the Duck Ride on Saturday. See the message. It is fun.

Hi John - Yes, I did mention that Saturday, April 28th is a busy day here. Just so that you can plan ahead, here is what is going on:

Friday: The Park and attractions are fully open including shops and restaurants from 10:30 am until 5:00 pm
We'll have the Pavilion set up for you by 6:00 pm that day.

Saturday: Besides everything being open from 10;30 am until 7:00 pm, that Saturday is part of our "Spring Fling" Saturdays here in the campground. Spring Fling is when we give complimentary rides around the lake on the water taxi from 11 am until 2 pm; have a magic show in the Pavilion; and hold a fishing tournament for kids 15 and under.

On Saturday morning, your attendees can choose to take a ride on an amphibious vehicle called the "Duck," a 1940's era Army Dukw that picks up passengers here at the Pavilion for a ride around the Park and a splash into the lake. People love the ride . . . cost is $10.70 (which includes tax). We would need to know ahead of time how many of your folks what to take the Duck so that we can arrange enough vehicles to accommodate your group and other campers as well.

On Saturday, the Park's free shuttle will run every 45 minutes (starting at 10:30 am) from the Pavilion over to Crossroads where the attractions, shops and restaurants are located.

The Pavilion will again be set up for you after the magic show and Spring Fling activities have ended around 4 pm.

The free Laser Show will begin at dusk that evening, with the shuttle then bringing everyone back to the campground.

Sunday: The Park attractions open at 10:30 and close at 5:00 pm. You have asked for the Pavilion that morning, so I will assume your folks will not be looking to do anything else that morning.

FYI, the two-day attraction tickets are $28 plus tax for anyone 12 and up, and can be purchased in the campground office upon arrival. Children ages 3 through 11 tickets are $23 plus tax.

When planning your activities, I suppose you could have everyone email back to you as to whether they want to reserve a place on the Duck ride for that Saturday morning. Then a couple of weeks before your arrival, you could tell me the number and we could then make the arrangements for the number of Ducks needed. Nothing else listed above requires a reservation or advanced commitment before everyone is here.

Call or email with comments or questions. :-)

Sharron

Rsvp

I found 166A Safari Streamer from RSVP list.
If you want to add your name and site # to the RSVP list, go to the Rally calendar, click the Stone Mountain TAC rally, then RSVP yes and add your site # in the comments box. Thanks
