Reservations Complete

I'm not a TAC member, but we're usually considered fun people! Just made our reservations today, arriving Thursday/26 April, site 164A.

I also posted to the RSVP page, here is the link (if you want to add your name, etc.): Airstream Forums - Tac-ga stone mountain park

If anyone wants a better look at the campground layout (than the site map on Stone Mtn's website), take a look in Google Earth.

FWIW: Reservation phone number is: (770) 498-5710, and you'll be talking to Darlene (who has a great personality).

Looking forward to 'streaming with friends at Stone Mountain.

Chief

Tac-ga stone mountain park

New Development. AlANSD who sponsors both Falluminum and Springstream each year in Georgia and I have decided to team up for this event so it is now titled TAC Springstream at Stone Mountain Park. So if you typically attend Springstream, this is your event.

I am currently working on some corporate sponsorship and I will let you know what I come up with later on.

Congratulations to all who have already made their reservations! You have a spot.

it should be a great change of pace for us after 8 or 10 Springstreams.

Bring on your breakfast hunger! Batterblaster (really good stuff) has agreed to donate enough product for 60 hungry Airstreamers at the event. Now we need to make sure we have enough pancake grills and cooks to get the job done and keep the product cold until needed. This ensures that a breakfast potluck is in order for one of the mornings. All for now

We have attended springstream in the past and enjoyed it very much. Although it is too early for us to commit to this rally, it is for sure on the radar screen.

Thank goodness for your griddle. Batterblaster will be sending me coupons for the stuff in the mail. They now make four varieties of pancake batter which all look good. I need to find a store that carries more than just one variety.

stone Mt Park Rally 2012

The Batterblaster folks in Austin, TX came thru for the rally with coupons to use to acquire the Batterblaster we need. Your hot pancake is now secure. I have them on file and will use them just prior to the rally.

I will be at Stone Mountain in October. It's a great place to camp, since I have a family reunion in ATL. I hope that I can attend the rally in April.

It's always a great place to camp for sure. Go ahead and make your reservation for the rally and if things change you can cancel. Hope you can make it to the TAC-GA/Springstream Rally.

We actually live in Stone Mountain. There are LOTS of grocery stores very close to the Park. As someone also said, there is a WalMart right outside the entrance to Stone Mountain Park too.

I hope we can make it. We'll check the calendar, but I think the date sounds good so far. We've never camped a few miles from home, so this will be great! We LOVE kayaking at Stone Mountain lake and the park is a great place for bike riding.

Who would guess that such a wonderful, tranquil, spacious, and entertaining Georgia State Park would exist right smack in the middle of urban Atlanta? It's a wonderful thing really. And you don't have to travel for hours and burn thru tanks of diesel fuel to get there. Not only that by the time you setup you still have the energy and time to get in some activities the same day you arrive! This assumes you are from metro Atlanta of course. Couple that with the discounted RV rate, the premium sites, being all arrayed in the same area, the free entry and reduced daily fees to all the attractions and you have a guaranteed win for an Airstream outing! There is some bad news. There are a limited number of spots for this rally under our agreement with the rally coordinator. I need to check again on that number but this is a rally where if you snooze, you loose. Do not delay in reserving you Airstream Spot.

There will be some rally specific planned activities but the featured rally activity is the park itself.

It's great to hear that if folks needs some supplies there are adequate grocery stores nearby. We just didn't find them. We must have taken the wrong route.

GA-TAC/Springstream Rally

I just confirmed that we have a total of 28 trailer sites plus (3) motor home only sites for a total of 31 in the loop around the pavilion which is the best location. These are considered the best sites in the campground. That's the best I can do for this location. Keep in mind that there are other loops and sites but if you want to be in the Airstream bubble there is a total of 28-5 already reserved, = 23 trailer sites and 3 motor home only sites available as of today.

First come first serve here. The early bird gets the worm.
