Our garden is tilled, raked and covered with biodegradable weed control material. In another area, I already planted some wild flower and radish seeds. We have vegetables sprouting up in their containers at the house, that will be ready for planting soon. This warm weather is crazy, but it's nice to have an early start on our garden. So, I did wet my plants!

See you soon-

Getting more excited each day.

Still making progress and looking forward to a great weekend. I am already getting hungry to try the wonderful appetizers and a great potluck on Saturday.

As I reread the previous post I must admit some confusion. I had assumed the free water taxi ride was the Duck boat. Not sure that we are up for the additional $10 per person for the trip on top of the adventure pass. Perhaps we will just be happy to ride in the free boat and take pictures of the Duck as it enters and exits the water. Hope this will not cause a problem to drop the three of us off the list for that.

Hoping to get the beds reinstalled this weekend. Counting down the days.

Yes, the Duck Ride is under separate management from the rest of the park and has a separate fee. The ride is fun, exciting, and entertaining. The water taxi ride, is free, and enjoyable in it's own way, but not the same thing as the Duck Ride. It's just a ride or transportation, not designed to entertain you. Anyway, all those interested in the Duck ride will need to sign up and pay for it when you register.

Got my new axle installed and the onboard fresh water system working. All set and ready to go. Just counting down the days.

Hey AWCHIEF, we must be on the same page. I installed the axle last weekend and the freshwater is installed also. The axle was easier then expected. I just need to connect to the new faucets in the bathroom/shower. I'm starting on putting the closets and gauchos back in now. We won't have new cushions or the kitchen cabinets in before the rally, but we originally thought we were going to be in an aluminum tent with no water or electricity. Looking forward to seeing my Caravels Dad!

Maximus, Your project is much, much more advanced than mine. I have great admiration for anyone attempting a total rebuild. I am just trying to get all the systems working. Slowely getting there. I was lucky in finding a Bambi II that had been well taken care over the years by some caring previous owners. Now if I could just get the fridge working on gas I would be happy until the next project comes up.

Another Shasta has reserved a site for the Stone Mountain gathering. They had organized the McKinney gathering last Fall and graciously allowed some local Airstreams to join in on their activities. The Shasta folks do ground up restorations on their trailers too, so be sure to include them in your "Tour of Trailers".I haven't checked lately to see if any more sites are still available. Does anyone know?

I just sent a note to the park to get the latest listing of those attending. I have seen several new attendees sign up recently so I am fairly certain all trailer reserved spots are booked. The motor coach spots may still be open. Folks can still sign up and get into the orange loop which is very close to everything but the rally set aside spots are booked. The good news we have a full capacity rally! This is going to be fun. Good to hear more vintage trailers are heading to Stone Mt. Park for the rally. Always good to see those folks.

Also, I just saw that the new Water Geyser feature can be visited with a separate stand alone ticket in case you don't need or want to visit the other attractions. Just another idea.

Camping is coming up soon, so get ready!

TAC/Springstream Rally, Stone Mt. Park, GA

I just heard back from the Stone Mt. Park Rally Coordinator. We still have open Sites 151 & 152 which are Motorhome only, and Site 7 which is a trailer site on the loop. So we are down to just three sites. The two motor coach sites may have to be released to the public. Even though we have exceeded the cut off date they are still holding these for a little longer for our rally.

So if we had three rigs joining us they would absolutely not be able to use the moho sites...

One of them can grab the one site left and the rest will have to make a reservation for sites in the orange loop which are very close to the main rally loop.

Let me clarify, two motor home sites were available earlier today and one trailer site under our rally agreement. Like I mentioned, our agreement has expired but the park is willing to book these under the arrangement. After that, anyone else who wants to participate in the rally can and needs to make arrangements with the park.

Making progress

Looking forward to the 27th.

We are making steady progress on the many repairs. We will by no means be finished by the time we attend our first Rally but we will have come a long way. Looking forward to seeing what other folks have done or are currently doing with their AS. A few of the before and After photos.

Oh and can't forget this important repair

This one makes the DW most happy. No late night trips out of the camper.

19 days and counting.

Looks great. It is rewarding to DYI and then finally camp in the thing. Mine is a long term project that is in the final stages --what ever that means. I guess its on going, LOL

Hope everyone is getting excited because this rally is almost upon us! Our trailer is the first one on the left as you enter the loop. Stop by to visit or ask questions. See everyone soon

Looks like my drive is going to be about 400 miles one way. Can anyone beat that? It will be my longest tow so far.
